In the past I've used crimp connectors, done soldering + heat shrink tubing (or electrical tape), and other crazy solutions too hacky to mention here, and these take the cake in terms of usability, durability, and waterproof-ness.They are just so easy to use. You strip the insulation off of 2 wires, shove them in, and hold it over a heat gun for about 30 seconds (wait for the solder ball in the middle to melt and get round on the edges) and presto you have a water tight connection that is also very mechanically stable because of the soldered conductors inside.I made a custom RGB LED Christmas light setup with these (probably used about 200 connectors), and they held up outside in the very wet Seattle rain with absolutely no problems. Highly recommended. These things are amazing.

Ok, so at first I thought I was going to be really disappointed. I’ve never used anything like this before so I guess I didn’t know what to expect, but wow are these things great! I was heating up the connector and heard sizzling, and I thought I was just melting the plastic. Turns out I wasn’t, yes the plastic gets very pliable while hot, but once it sets you have a very strong hold! I was surely surprised. If you’re thinking about using these in a place that’s not really ideal to use a solder iron like me or you simply don’t want to use one then I highly recommend you give these a try. I’m going to be using these to connect wires for a headunit installation in my truck.

These are an absolute must have in your toolbox! They are bit pricey if you break them down but the time you save when doing repairs is a no brainer! I use them to repair ws2811 pixel nodes among other things! Very easy to use. Be careful not to get your torch too close or your will melt the heatshrink right off!

It was a good purchase for the price however one side on all the connectors seemed to be pre shrunk. It made some connection a bit difficult at first but it trimmed them a bit, and always add heat shrink over the connectors anyway. Got the desired results despite that small issue. They need to work on QC

Great little items to have if you suck a soldering. Not even Gilligan could screw these up. Well, never mind, he did spend years on an island with Mary Ann and Ginger, yet still stayed in the skippers hut. Heck, even Mrs. Howell would have been a better choice. Oh ya, the product. Easy to use, I've gone though about a thousand total.

as an avid holiday light show hobbyist, i use a lot of different length light strands. this product makes it easy to solder wires together and water proof them at the same time. i will be using these for all of my soldering needs from here on out. gf

Used these to wire LED emergency service lights on a side by side. Crimps would come loose after a couple of runs. These stayed connected. Very happy with them.

Makes wires great again

These things are super handy, they make wiring so much easier. It helps if you have a heat gun with a higher setting to melt the solder.

It says for 10-12awg wires. I need to use enormous force to push it into my 12 awg wires. Could made it a bit larger or change ads to say works for 10awg only.
