Love this pen!
I love this pen, and Rotring Tikky line. The opaque ink covers well, and the pen has a wonderful, expressive quality. I was super excited to find it in the .1mm size. There are a lot of reviews from disappointed buyers saying that the line from this pen is not 1mm, and to some extent that is true. This is because of the ink, not the size of the nib. This ink is liquidy . . .think "marker" ink, although it's not quite the same. But it's liquidy as opposed to viscous gel pen ink, which is what many people are used to. Kind of like water color in comparison to acrylic paint. The nib is also soft, not a roller ball, which can make the width of the line vary. All the Tikky pens are like this, and the lines always seem thicker to me than the stated width of the pen.Consequently, the type of paper you use it on makes a big difference. If I use the pen on dry, uncoated drawing paper, the ink spreads out quite a bit and the line looks thicker, more like 3mm. If I use the pen on multi-purpose, coated paper, the line looks closer to 1mm because it doesn't spread as much. I recommend testing the paper you plan to use and experimenting, if a thin line is important. The pen is designed so that you can vary the width of your line with pressure, angle, etc., and that's one of the attributes that makes it fun to use.For me, this is a 5 star item, and I hope Amazon will continue to carry it.

Excellent quality - will buy again
Very black ink (more so than similar pens from other top tier manufacturers), excellent handling and smoothness. I am not sure why it is so hard to find these, and why only limited sizes are available given how nice these pens are, and if I could find sizes other than 0.2 and 0.4 mm, I would buy them as well.

Nice pen but off by a good a good 4 mm
The size is WAY OFF. The line thickness is closer to 0.4 mm or 0.5 mm. My Staedtler 0.3 mm pigment liner leaves a noticeably thinner line!I've also owned the 0.2 mm version of this pen and that one writes just as thick. The main difference between the two is that the 0.1 mm is a little more toothier/scratchier, though not in an unpleasant way.Overall, it's an attractive pen with good flow, good weight and a comfortable barrel. But if you're in the need of a pen that's capable of producing 0.1 mm line thickness, look elsewhere.

It's alright
I love rOtring products but this one let me down a bit. I've been looking for a nice, very fine pen to write with because I like nice crisp lines. When this pen arrived I quickly opened it up, and while the pen said 0.1mm, the line was more like a 0.5mm. I have a rOtring rapidograph 0.1mm pen so I know what a 0.1mm line should look like. The felt tip is nice if you like felt tips, it's rigid and strong, it won't wear down like cheap felt tips. It's a great pen, but it is not a 0.1mm as advertised.

Dried out.
This pen arrived completely dried out. Not sure if it's just the alpine environment that it was shipped but this thing seems to have ink but nothing is coming out of the pen.

My Rotring pen
This pen is amazing because I can draw fine lines with it and a lot of other things. I would definitely recommend this product for any body that likes to draw.
