Very tasty and great health benefits including energy!
I was kindly given this organic matcha tea to try by the Pretty Smart Food Co. The matcha comes in a lovely small storage pot (which I will be reusing!). The powder itself is super bright green and healthy looking. I invested in a whisk as otherwise matcha powder can fall straight to the bottom of a mug. It works well to make a paste using warm but not boiling water and then to top up with more water if required. The taste is really refreshing and pleasant – I find it particularly good to give me some energy before a morning yoga session or a busy day at work. It is really good for the body and a great antioxidant. It is also tastier than any of my usual green teas and has tons more benefits! I love that it is 1st Flush Japanese style – totally pure unlike some other brands. It’s super versatile and I’m looking at other ways to use it including in smoothies and ice lollies. One tip would be to fully remove the inside ring-pull seal – I tucked mine back in and got a sprinkle of green over me when I next tried to open as matcha had collected on top! Would definitely recommend this matcha – I have juvenile chronic arthritis and anything that boosts my energy levels is my friend! :)

Smooth and delicious
This is a fantastic matcha, probably the best I've tried so far. I read a lot of reviews for many different products before settling on this once and I'm glad I did. It's smooth and vibrant - not bitter at all, with a delicate flavour. The packaging is nice too which is always a bonus.

Simply the best tasting and greatest value money Matcha tea powder I’ve purchased.
I have been drinking/consuming Matcha tea powder for over a decade now, having tried a whole range of brands and types. I can safely say that this is by far and away the highest quality green tea powder I’ve ever bought. Bright green in colour, full of flavour and great value for money. It’s organic, high grade and from my experience tastes fantastic. No bitterness that I have found many others leave. I have always extolled the benefits of Matcha tea but I have stopped recommending other brands to friends and family, and instead highlight this as a tried and tested favourite. I hope Pretty Smart are able to continue sourcing their tea from this same provider as it sets them apart. Great work team and I look forward to purchasing my next tin in the near future!

Good matcha
The matcha powder smells good, tastes good, (it has an earthy bitterness to it but also a hint of tropical sweetness), it’s a nice green colour, it’s not as fine a powder as i’d like it to be but overall this is a good matcha which I like to drink as a latte with almond milk

Tasty and foams great.
I'm impressed by this Matcha. I bought some Matcha from Kyoto whilst I was in Japan and this is just as good. This is the second Matcha tea I've bought on Amazon and the first (from a different company) didn't taste as good or foam up nearly as well as this Matcha does. It's got a great colour and the powder is not clumpy at all. It is expensive but in my opinion it is worth it too.I was skeptical about this brand due to the name 'Pretty Smart Food Company' and all the advertising around it being organic and a super food. I was worried this company was concerned more about health food fads than genuine Japanese produce, but I'm happy I gave it a try as I was looking for something that tastes just like the matcha I had at a tea ceremony in Kyoto and that's exactly what this is.

The flavour is disappointing.
I regularly bought Dr King Ceremonial which I found delicious, but sadly it’s no longer available. I have since tried Medori Spring and Kineta, both good substitutes. In comparison Pretty Smart blends very well but there is a marked difference in terms of flavour.. it simply doesn’t taste as good. Also, drinking Matcha leaves me feeling me refreshed, alert but also calm. Not so with this brand. I won’t be buying it again.

Amazing buy
After I've had my cup it makes my body feel great. I'll probably end up having a cup or two every day because of this, well worth the price. This will be easier to drink if you're a green tea fan by the way. My boyfriend is thinking about hopping from the coffee to this stuff because of the benefits, which is something I totally recommend because matcha tea contains basically the same amount caffeine yet is really good for you. This is the first brand of matcha I have tried and I'm not disappointed, like I said it's not an easy drink but if you hold your nose it's easy, and over time I can see myself getting used to it.update- I now love the taste of matcha! I find it pure heaven, weird! It does kind of taste like grass the first couple of times you have it, but eventually it gets better and it really does focus the mind!Enjoy!

This is the real deal at a reasonable price
For those that are disillusioned about matcha, or don't know what proper matcha tastes like, this is it. There should be no bitter taste as mentioned by reviewers of other brands. This one is subtly sweet, and tastes like the way more expensive premium Japanese import matcha I have used. Not quite on par, but very nearly, for half the price.Other so called ceremonial matchas at this price point or lower, simply are not. It's no wonder some people try entry level or cheaper ceremonials are disappointed with the taste and the whole matcha category. If you only have one matcha to try, try this one.A small note, the underside of the tin lid has a rubber seal to keep the matcha fresh, on cheaper brands there is no seal and is just a tin lid. The name 'Pretty Smart Food Company' sounds a bit too western I guess so may wrong foot some people looking for a more authentic matcha. But make no mistake this is probably the most authentic matcha you can get at this price point.
