After starting my fourth and final year of University, I thought that I should treat myself to a new monitor (previously using a 22" Hitachi TV) to use with my Lenovo Ideapad 320 laptop. After a week of pretty solid research and watching all the desk setup videos on Youtube, I decided on the Dell S2419H to complete my own desk setup. The monitor arrived today in a large Amazon box after only ordering it two days ago. So far I am very impressed with the quality and size of the screen - the 24" (S2419H) screen is a perfect size for a student/office/home desk as it is not too big or too small, yet is still a great improvement over using a laptop in terms of screen real estate. There were no dead or bright pixels which was a surprise to me after reading some other reviews. The stand looks sleek and is well designed, with nice cable management at the back. One little thing to note is that the built-in speakers can be out-of sync with video as I tried watching Netflix - not sure if this is the HDMI delay from the laptop but it is fine for listening to music or watching Youtube videos. The glossy screen does give a reflection - good if you want an extra mirror in your student room! There is tilt adjustment which works a treat but no height adjustment - just get a desk raiser or put some books underneath and you're good to go.Overall, this is a really good stylish monitor for work and productivity. I am yet to hook up my PS4 to utilise the dual HDMI ports so I cannot yet comment on the monitor for gaming, although I expect it will be perfect for the PS4 on the desk. I can't wait to start writing my dissertation on it!

Bought this to “professionalise” my home office. For the last 3 months during Covid lockdown, I have been working using just my laptop and I decided it was time to have a better arrangement.TBH, this monitor is stunning. The 24” size is big but not too big. The screen is fantastic, far better colour and tone than my built in laptop screen, plus the monitor is the same native resolution as my laptop ie 1080p. The built in speakers are great for office use and fine with Skype and webconferences.All in al, brilliant and well worth the money.

It really is a good looking monitor...on or off. Picture is very good and clear and fills pretty much the whole screen with the exception of a small bezel around the edge.I needed a monitor with sound as space is tight and to be fair it does not let you down. Plenty loud enough and pleasant to listen too. You are not going to get surround sound but that is fine by me.All said and done it is very neat and tidy to look at and works very very well. Had this since November 2018, and I've been wanting to order another - but first thought I'd review it as I'm so impressed with it.Screen colours are utterly fantastic, the controls are easy to use on the monitor, and the finish is gorgeous. I highly recommend this - it looks awesome in my home office. I got it for £135.00 so I'm going to wait for the price to go down again before ordering another :)

I don't know a lot about monitors and had to do quite a bit of research before choosing this one. I decided on a Dell as I had one previously and the replacement which broke after 18 months seemed really flimsy by comparison and the sound quality was rubbish! I found Amazon reviews very helpful and was enabled me to look out for a Dell with a HDMI cable supplied (According to some reviews it appears on VGA is supplied with some models! I am extremely pleased with this moniter it's bright and sharp and easy for someone like me with limited IT knowledge to adjust brightness contrast etcetera. Also very pleased with quality of sound, that was important to me as I work from a pc in my study often until the early hours so listening to music keeps me goingI've only had it a week so in terms of longevity it's too early to tell but so far so good. Oh I got a friend who knows quite a bit about monotors to assemble it for me and he said it was a good build quality and at a very reasonable price!

My trusty 10 year old monitor needed replacing and I chose this, based on reviews outside Amazon. Picture quality is excellent once you tinker with brightness, contrast and sharpness. That being said, the screen is a very noticeable blue when you first switch it on, it's easily correctable but seems to be a thing with monitors now.Size wise, coming from a 21.5 inch, the larger screen makes a noticeable difference. For gaming, work and general online use, this works fine.
