What are the sounds that this makes, I hope they are realistic so my child can learn?

The flush creaks, when you do the business it says well done and sings or something. I haven't used it yet properly but it is good for teaching kids to use the toilet in a fun way :)

When used as a toilet seat can you still activate the sounds?

No, there are 2 metal bit's in the bottom of the purple bit, when they are both touched at the same time it completes a circuit and the noise starts. so when you put the seat on a normal toilet it's just like using a normal toilet but with an extra seat.(does that make sense ?!)

What are the dimensions of the seat itself? My daughter is bigger for her age and needs bigger potty.

Don't know but my grandson is really big for his age and he is fine on it
