A good kit for a good value. No one wants to think about a severe bleeding crisis, but if it happens, you'll have the tools you need to help get it under control until paramedics arrive. Take a "Stop the Bleed" course so that you know how to use some of the items in this kit.

I'm a retired paramedic and found this to be a good, fairly comprehensive kit. Even if you don't know how to use everything, most of it has instructions on the wrapper. I would highly recommend doing mock scenarios occasionally instead of waiting for things to go bad and while someone may be in deep trouble, this isn't the time to learn.

Good price for a kit to have kicking around. Keep mine on ATV just incase. Disappointed no regular band aids.

I bought this kit for a church friend - a retired medic who will be leading a youth wilderness retreat. He was very impressed with the range and quality of the items - plus the handy, compact zipper bag. Hope it is never needed but glad to have it. Better safe than sorry.

I'm professionally trained in first aid, and I bought this kit to supplement my gear for an upcoming hiking trip next week. Overall, the kit looks decent and has a solid range of supplies. The tourniquet in particular is better quality than I expected! But here's the problem - the nasopharyngeal airway (NPA) is packaged in a way that leaves a permanent crease in the middle of the tube, which makes it unusable (Look at the listing photos!). The kink compromises the airway and makes it risky to use on someone unconscious. You can't trust a device like this if it’s already damaged out of the package. What’s even more frustrating as mentioned above is THE PHOTOS SHOW THE SAME DAMAGE IN THE LISTING! That means it’s not a one-off issue — it’s how every kit is packed. I checked the return options and the only one available is to send the entire kit back for a replacement, which will just have the same problem. I've already customized the kit with some of my own gear and moved things around, so repacking and returning it just to get another faulty NPA is a waste of time. This is supposed to be an emergency-ready product. The airway is a critical item, and it shouldn’t be arriving damaged or poorly stored. If you buy this kit, plan on replacing the NPA right away with one that hasn’t been bent in half. Someone who would be otherwise alive could literally die from lack of oxygen due to this defect. It's like a kinked hose. It’s disappointing because the rest of the kit is actually pretty decent. But when a life-saving component is compromised like this, it really undercuts the whole point. Very disappointed and also surprised no one else noticed this! Inspect your kits, folks.

Quality components in a fairly priced kit. Don’t go for the cheap options, buy quality - includes a real CAT tourniquet! Hope I never have to use but better safe than sorry!
