After four years, my Otterbox Defender case (for Galaxy Note9) started to break down and fall apart, but they are no longer available. After trying some other replacements I went with this one. It fits well and functions about as well as the real Otterbox. The question is how well it will hold up, and if it protects as well. It appears to be as protective, but I'm not willing to put it to a full test! I have found only two shortcomings: the covers over the plugs at the bottom are harder to open than on the original Otterbox, and when laid face down, the phone slides around more than it did with the original, but it is better than the other replacements I tried. When installing the case, you have to separate the rubber outer cover form the hard "frame," which was a bit difficult. I found that pulling it apart starting at the lower right corner, when the Note9's stylus is stored, was the easiest place to peel it apart. Once parted there the rest was not difficult. I've had this a couple weeks and would purchase it again, assuming it holds up going forward.

The sturdiness of the case is extremely appreciated, this is my second one, first one lasted 5 years and the only thing that was wrong was the battery cover ripped off. Easy grip as well.

i bought one of these abt 5 years ago and only now have i had to replace it. It is a great case and pretty much the only one i had. I really enjoy this case. [Image of the old one after 5years of daily intense use.] Durable and for those who buy phones often, the case will outlast the phone i guess lol.

This cover seems as thought it will stand up to whatever I accidently do to my phone. I haven't thrown my phone on the ground or across the room to check the protection, but it seems as though it will be 100x better than the other I had just purchased May 2025. It can't handle flat wireless charging, but I am able to use the stand-up feature of my wireless charger and it works great. The dust cover is very hard to open, but hoping, with use, it will relax a bit. For all those who griped about the dust cover I ask, 'have all your covers had the dust protection?' I've never had dust protection before and there has been no issues with dust. This cover makes my overall phone weight much heavier than I like, but for protection, I can live with that.

I have a galaxy note 9 and this case works great.
