Very Useful flash light
The Thor Mini by Lumintop is a real surprise; so much focused light from such a small package. Only 1" in diameter by 3.1" tall with easy, single button controls. There are 2 selectable light output levels and a strobe and SOS function. OK so this is an outstanding light and that's great. There are a couple of things that need to be pointed out. The Lumintop website shows this model with working RGB lights in the tailcap. My unit has those three colored segments but there are no actual working lights so I assume they've been discontinued to save battery life. Also there is no way to carry with either a belt clip or holster because there aren't any available. It is small enough for pocket carry but some of us like belt carry.

Small and convenient, great throw distance with large beam flood!
This is such a small LEP flashlight. It was also my first LEP and now I am purchasing more. They are really cool devices. I use it when I walk my dog at night as we walk down long trails and I want to look far ahead. I carry a second LED flashlight for up close flood light detection. The battery life is decent but I recommend getting aftermarket 18350 batteries such as the keeppower high drains. You'll find other full size LEPs to have a further throw and thats because the beam is more focused than it is on the Thor Mini. If youre not a search and rescue team, avid outdoorsman or hunter and youre just a hobbyist collecting cool toys and gadgets but also want some purpose out of them this little guy packs it on full!It is small, light, convenient to carry. The glow tubes at the back are so cool to look at in the dark but really aren't anything to write home about. Its a body switch not tail switch activation. The body switch has a faint blue LED behind the Lumintop logo that let's you find it in the dark easier. The best part is yes its LEP. Yes it has a far throw but the beam isn't super focused like on my Thor 2 for instance. So while the Thor 2 goes like 3x as far, this one goes about 700m and is more of a flood light at the end of the beam than other LEP lights. This makes it useful when scanning the trail hundreds of feet up ahead of you for threats or dangers to actually see more of what's going on at the other end of the beam.If you dont find yourself needing LEP lights but wanting one that is affordable, easy to care for, has decent battery life and nice features such as low power, high power (brighter but once battery voltage gets too low it won't stay on in high) then this is a must have in your EDC load out!Once you turn the light on the is a glow ring that glows a greenish blue color around the lens that is a nice touch to locating it in the dark, too!

Amazing but awkwardly specific?
This is an incredible technology, when they say it goes 700 meter they actually mean it, I didn’t test the actual distance but I could easily shine it across a canyon, light up distant the tops and generally “oh I wonder that is waaaaay over there, oh it’s a bush or whatever” with impunity. As a distance spotlight it’s awesome!!! I’ve never had a light like it.Alright it’s great for looking across a football field or way down a trail, but is it right for you? Here’s the down sides, up close it’s an extremely narrow beam with a crazy amount of light, 200 lumens doesn’t sound crazy when a lot of car headlights are over 500 and you can get 1000 lumen LED flashlights, but this is 200 lumens in like a 6 inch circle!! Up close when you shine it at your feet and it’s like some one left a piece of the sun there, it’s functionally blinding at night. Once the beam is about 10-20ft from you it’s pretty useable but is about an 18 inch circle, I suppose I can’t really blame it, it was designed to throw light as far as possible and I’ve never expected a laser to light a room so why should this LEP be any different??Finally if you need to see far away and signal Batman from across the city in a small package this is absolutely amazing! And I completely recommend it to you,but if you trying not to fall down your front stairs at night and don’t need the caped crusader and nearby by planes to assist you I would avoid this one and get a normal led lightOne last note, the controls are a little annoying, nothing awful but not intuitive, one click turns it on, all good there, but turning it off is the tricky part, you have to hold the button for a second to turn it off, just clicking it changes the brightness instead…. This led to a lot of pointing it at the ground nearby and instead of clicking off just absolutely blasting myself until I got used to it…Oh and the battery is included which wasn’t super clear to me at the time of purchase

Excellent compact LEP flashlight
The media could not be loaded. This little flashlight packs a very potent punch! Imagine the brightness of a high power LED flashlight combined with the tightly focused beam of a laser...this is what you'd get. This new laser excited phosphor (LEP) technology is best used for long distance pointing and signaling, and is not really suited to everyday flashlight use...but it sure is fun to look at. The Thor Mini is a great first LEP flashlight and I believe it is fairly priced...so far, it's everything it promised to be, seems well made, and is easy to use. Other buyers complained about the user interface but I have not had issues with it. Someone also mentioned the included wrist strap was weak or faulty, but mine seems OK. Advanced features like the ability to show battery voltage in light flashes are nice to have. The 'Turbo Glow' bezel ring and tricolor glow bars in the tail are really cool looking, and help you find the flashlight in the dark. It's also waterproof up to a few feet. The battery was included with my light, as well as a couple of spare O-rings, which is helpful. I'm really impressed and happy with this little light. If you're curious about LEP lighting technology and you wanna try it out, the Thor Mini is probably the best way to start.
