This helical head works great and with a major upgrade for my DW734 Planer. Cut Purpleheart wood without any issues what so ever. Product is packaged very well and comes with extra screws and inserts. No clue why it comes with two torq wrenches but oh well. Noise level is notably quieter, breaks up chips making dust collection a breeze, and no tear out or snipe. Great value for the money spent. Doesn’t come with instructions but there are plenty of videos online. Things you will need: Hex wrenches 15/16 socket with socket wrench Snap ring pliers Dead blow hammer #2 Philips screwdriver White lithium grease 2-4 hours of free time

Wow, what a difference. Not only in the excellent performance of my olde 734 DeWalt, but the price is WAY cool. Bravo to the maker.

Excellent quality. My dewalt planer does not have the power to handle it. Does a beautiful job if you use light cuts.

Great cutter!

This is a great quality item. I haven't yet installed it, but it looks great and will undoubtedly improve the quality of the cut. I have other spiral cutterhead tools, and cutter replacement is a breeze.
