Nephew loved it
Bought for Christmas for my nephew. He had fun watching it grow and now wants more! Had to order a replacement as original order came with label printed on. Need to think about this Amazon when giving things as gifts.

Great fun
Would normally give five stars to these kits. My grandson just loves them but this one was broken when we took it out of the box. Luckily he didn't mind and got on with digging out the stones but I was disappointed it wasn't up to the usual high standard of National Geographic.

Good product for 7 years plus
My Grandson 7 loved putting this together and getting it assembled with a little assistance from Grandma.Would recommend for this age group.

This is not 8+ it is 6+
The box says 6+ which is a bit disappointing as I bought this for a 9 year old who is now disappointed that he gets a toys for 6 year olds. Kids are very sensitive about this.Apart from that, it looks good, not used it yet.
