Dissapointing
Very little control over RPM, either flat out or nothing, yes it feels good in the hand. Very little vibration. But it performs far worse than a CP die grinder I bought second hand from a certain auction site for £20. Also, the trigger release feels very snappy, not a smooth action. I feel the quality of IR tools is on the decline. Says made in Taiwan, on the label on the tool. I know theres a lot more good quality tools coming out of Taiwan these days, but this tool ain't one of them... value for money, and reliability- I havent used it much yet, but time will tell.

Absolute POWERHOUSE of a die grinder!
The media could not be loaded. You buy cheap, you buy twice. This rule is true for a whole lot of things but it’s especially true for power tools.I spent a lot of time researching which die grinder to buy for use with my new 200L compressor. Since I already have other Ingersoll Rand tools, I figured it would be a good idea to look at their range. This 5208MAX is a quality bit of kit. It’s quite compact but very powerful indeed. It will spin grinding stones, cutting discs, carbide burrs and sanding wheels/discs without any issues at all. Work on steel or aluminium it doesn’t matter, this thing powers on.Make sure you are feeding it 90PSI working pressure (not 90PSI when idle) and it will scream. In my testing this is considerably more powerful than a dremel and obviously has a larger Chuck/shank size as well. You will need a compressor capable of at least 6CFM to really let this tool work properly. You’ll need a couple of spanners to tighten up the Chuck, as well as your own air fitting. Be sure to oil this tool before every use as well to prolong its life.Air tools are certainly not dead.

Great Grinder
Excellent grinder, no runout and is strong enough to remove material. I've used dotco and several other brands in the past, this one is just as good at 1/5th the price.

Awesome little die grinder!
Really good Die grinder. I have been able to strip paint and remove rust (see picture) in about 5-10 minutes on edge shears.Little minuses: no instructions at all on how to use and oil the die. No oil that comes with it , then make sure you buy 10 weight air tool oil with your purchase. Last one is that it requires a really good compressor. I have a 5cfm@90psi and the rotation is not constant, but still really like it for sanding. Would not cut metal with that compressor use an angle grinder to cut metal. Also please read about diff between dremel vs die grinder vs angle grinder. They are all different and used for different purposes.
