Very powerful laptop, with excellent cooling and great value!
Specs:- MSI GP63 8RE- 15.6 inch 120 Hz TN display- i7-8750h- GTX 1060- 16 GB RAM- 128 GB SSD + 1 TB HDDThis is my first gaming laptop or gaming rig - thus my review takes the perspective of a novice to the gaming pc/laptop industry. But even with my basic knowledge, I can tell you this laptop is well worth the but, especially for its price (£1000+ or only £999 on sale)!Pros:- Very powerful machine/excellent specs- Easy 60 FPS on all games, even AAA titles- Display is beautiful and bright, with great colour accuracy- Fairly light build at 2.3kg- Cooling is top class even under stress conditions (cooler boost will fix any thermal issues, that is you even come across one)- Great steel series keyboard with good layout- Accurate mousepad- Awesome price for what you are gettingCons- Battery life isn’t ideal, hour of gaming and even at low loads only manages 2-3 hours- Build quality was sacrificed a little but doesn’t really bother me- Some power limit throttling (but fixes itself after a few mins into gaming or by simply plugging it into charge)- Rubber pads are inadequate at keeping the laptop from slidingOverall, the cons of this device does not bother me as I seem them as minor inconveniences for my purposes. I can not say this enough but you are getting awesome levels of bang for your buck - will not let you down in performance. I would however recommend buying another SSD, be it replacing the HDD with a SATA drive or using the spare NVME M.2 SDD slot, if you want to store your games and have fast load times.

Detailed and Honest Review
Build quality - 4/5 - plastic body with aluminium lid. Not the end of the word but for £1100 I would have expected aluminium everywhereScreen - 5/5 - FHD screen will very good colour accuracy. Viewing angles are good too.Performance - 5/5 - Both CPU and GPU are top notch. The GTX 1060 6GB can and will take anything you’re throwing at it with grace. Most games easily run at 60fps full hd with high/ultra settings (Witcher 3, Red Dead Redemption 2, Destiny 2, Control 2019, AC Odyssey etc)RAM - 16GB is enough. 32GB is future proof.HDD/SSD - nothing to complain about. Bootup time is sub 10 sec.Ports - enough USBs. Individual audio and mic jacks are a plus. The rest are standard and working well.Trackpad - Just as bad as any other laptop trackpad so no surprises here. Can you use it? Yes. Is it Macbook-lvl? Not at all.Battery - IT IS A GAMING LAPTOP!!! 2h-3h at best. Obviously, if you turn down the screen to 1% brightness and decrease the power level to battery saver and only use the laptop as a coaster for your coffee then it can last more!Keyboard - 5/5 - steel series does not dissapoint. Good key travel and feel. Nice RGB lights and brightness ( although I always turn it off).Cooling - 5/5 - one of the main reasons I bought an MSI. The dual fans with the 4 exhausts are perfect. One for the CPU and one for the GPU. The laptop has a dedicated button that turns on/off both fans at max RPM in case you want to take off.The laptop stays cool however in demanding situations the CPU will go to high 90s which is normal anyway.Speakers - Average. No bass, good trebles. Can you watch a movie and hear it? Yes. Is the audio experience immersive? Far from it.Final thoughts: CPU, GPU, RAM, HDD/SSD, cooling and the screen are all ticked in my book and should be the only criteria to buy a laptop. The rest is not important at all. This laptop is (to quote Flossy) a major major go.

BEST LAPTOP AVAIABLE FOR A FAIR PRICE!
Well...ive received my GP73 Leopard 8RF 3days ago and i have to say that im more than pleased. Arrived on time and extremely well packed inside 3 boxes (Amazon and 2 MSI). Aboutbthe laptop i gotta be honest, ik no tech guy buy i can tell when a gaming machine is well made and has powerful specs...we are talking of a laptop with a Nvidia Gforce GTX 1070 and an hexa core intel 7 8th gen CPU, the structure of the laptop is truly solid, the track pad is truly acceptable and the keyboard is an outstanding Steelseries. The display is stunning, of course that in the market theres better but this particulary model for the price is something to really consider. I've read some bad reviews about the sound system but i have to say thay it really doesnt botter me cause for me its impecable. The battery life is a bit poor (2h max to be honest) but its a gaming laptop, i didnt expect to last ages while playing. Conclusion...a really fast gaming laptop, truly powerful specs, runs absolutely every game i throw at it and the best thing about it is that its cheap for what it has, thats what admires me the most. For those who are wondering if this is worst the cost i have to say that it is.

Solid Laptop
Purchased this model after my previous laptop suffered hardware issues. Modern i7 processor, capable RAM capacity and dedicated graphics means that this can handle most current gen games on high graphic settings without suffering on frame rate. Obviously you could probably get better performance with higher specs but this model is a nice soft cap where performance and price are worth the investment. Anything more intensive starts to become overpriced. Great performance, slightly heavy design (Preferred it to be honest) and as expected the machine runs fairly hot considering the hardware and size limitations. That said the cooling is efficient if loud under load. Battery is satisfactory considering the hardware. RGB keys feel comfortable and aesthetically pleasing. Would recommend for a mid-budget gaming PC with added portability.
