Best AirPods Yet, but Fitment Could Be Better
I’ve owned nearly every generation of the standard Apple AirPods, and the AirPods 4 are without question the best yet in terms of quality, battery life, and features. The sound is fuller and more balanced than previous generations, and the addition of Active Noise Cancellation, Adaptive Audio, and Personalized Spatial Audio really elevates the listening experience. That said, the one area where these fall slightly short for me is fitment. For whatever reason, the original first-generation AirPods stayed in my ears the most securely. With these, I find they can slip out more easily, especially when I tilt my head or move around. The Active Noise Cancellation is also solid but not groundbreaking — which is to be expected, given these are not in-ear, sealed headphones like the Pro models or over the head ones like Pro Max.As with most Apple products, you’re not buying these for raw “value.” There are more affordable earbuds out there (like Anker’s offerings) that will get the job done for less. What you’re paying for here is the seamless convenience within the Apple ecosystem — instant pairing, smooth device switching, and features that integrate effortlessly with iPhone, iPad, and Mac.If you’re already invested in Apple devices and want the best AirPods to date, these are worth it. However, if you’re happy with your 3rd gen AirPods, I wouldn’t say the upgrade is essential unless you’re already experiencing issues like I was (my 3rd gen had reduced battery life and microphone problems).

Fit similarly to the older V2, comfortable, good value, good sound, good battery life.
I was afraid to get these because the older version (2) with the longer stems actually fit well and were (relatively ) inexpensive. Good for someone who loses things. But the older ones are no longer made, so I bit the bullet. These were not much different in price. They have shorter stems and a slightly different fit but they still work well for me. I even wear one to bed to listen to my ‘book tape’ for 30 min to help fall asleep, and when I wake up in the night, it is usually still in my ear. I.e. comfortable enough for me to fall asleep with. Battery life seems good. About the same weight as older ones (V2) possibly a tad heavier. I purposely didn’t get noise cancelling ones because I walk a lot on sidewalks and need to be aware of my surroundings. Also, those are more expensive; but people really like the noise cancelling ability and say you can shut that off. (That would definitely help on planes, but meanwhile, I am happy with these).

Very good quality, noice cancellation works amazing
I love these Airpods a lot. This is my third pair and I like it better than both the ones I had before this. This is definitely the most comfortable one I've had. Compared to the airpods pro that also offer noise cancellation, this one is way more comfortable. The airpods pro kind of hurt after a while but this didn't happen with the airpods 4s even though I would have it in for hours at times. The noice cancellation is really good, I was able to mute off basically all the outside noise in the library when I was doing work and really helped with concentration. This is cheaper than the airpods pros and definitely more worth it if you're deciding between the two. The size is also smaller than the other models and it fits in all my pockets and it's extremely light to carry. The sound quality is also amazing and it has the same functions as the pros at a much lower price. The battery health is also impressive, I charge it like once a week and I've had it for around a month and it has never died/ran out of batteries yet and I use it basically every day. This is great quality for the price and definitely worth the money especially if you can get it on sale during sales like prime day.

Excellent Quality and Great Value!
These earbuds are fantastic! The color and design are sleek and stylish, and they feel very lightweight, making them comfortable to wear for long periods. The functionality is top-notch, with clear sound and strong connection. The build quality feels premium, and for the price, they offer amazing value for money. Highly recommend to anyone looking for reliable, great-sounding earbuds!

Good but not the best Apple can do
As almost every bluetooth earphone user has experienced, I lost mine a few months ago. They were the Airpods 2nd generation. Despite being a little dated, I held onto them because they were very reliable and gave me decent sound. One sad day I could not find them anywhere. After some thought, I got some cheaper pair of earphones from a different company. Let's say I've never listened to so few music before, they were really uncomfortable and I decided to ditch them.Eventually I got these pair of earphones, the Airpods 4th generation with active noise cancelling (ANC) functionality. They are very good in some aspects. Particularly, they have good sound and microphone, the ANC is impressive, and the charging is pretty quick. With respect to my old 2nd gen, I find that these earphones are a little less reliable in connectivity: sometimes they act up and go mute out of the blue (it has happened a handful of times since I got them). In addition, battery life is a little worse than what I expected. My previous pair would last days and days without charging but I need to charge these ones every two or three days. This is all usage dependent, of course.Overall, I like them, don't regret my buy but they still have room for improvement.
