One of the most fun boxes I've put together!! All compartments open and close as required but you must use the wax for smooth interaction. Maintains its shape if assembled properly, instructions allow for extra repair pieces. Size is convenient for a minimalist or a child. Overall, a good buy!!

This project was fun! It took me a little longer than advertised on the box, and where the pieces separated from the sheets I had to do more filing than I've done with other kits, but the finished product is quite nice. There are some parts that are very easy to break, but this kit includes a couple of spare parts that can replace the easy to break and easy to lose parts. If you're planning to use it as a jewelry box, just be aware that each of the boxes has an open slit along one bottom edge and necklace chains really like to slip through them and get stuck. I would recommend either getting those little sheer jewelry bags or sticking some kind of liner to the inside of the boxes if you want to keep small items in it. The slits are part of the system that allows the box to open and close, so you can't do anything to block it. I'm only giving four stars because of the filing, and the fact that I wore out the little piece of sandpaper that was included and had to get another one to finish the project. Other than that, the instructions were pretty easy to follow, the parts were clearly labeled, and they included a little tool to help punch out the tiny pieces (which is great if you have big fingers). I would definitely buy this again.

My kid loved putting it together even though the lights didn't light up all the way around. The ones that do light are very dim.

Fun build and my daughter loved it

This is a cool little jewelry box. Fairly easy to assemble. The only drawback is that each drawer has a gap along the seam that parts of jewelry can fall through and get stuck.

Fun project

The pieces were not easy to get into the slots. The black wire came off, so I had to figure out how to put that back on. As I was putting another piece in on the side, it literally split to the point that I couldn't repair it. I really enjoyed doing 3-D puzzles, but not to the point where my fingers were feeling bruised from having to work and part in. I would not recommend this for anyone. I had to throw the puzzle away because of how bad it split. I'm going to request a refund.
