Massive Performance Increase — Large Size but Definitely Worth It (K1-5V RGB)
I ordered the K1-5V RGB model because it looked similar in design to another very expensive cooling pad by llano. I’m using this cooling pad with a Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 6 (8th-gen Intel U-series CPU, 16GB RAM, integrated Intel UHD 620 graphics — no dedicated GPU), and the difference has honestly been impressive. I honestly didn’t expect this cooling pad to make such a noticeable difference, but it completely changed how my laptop performs under load. Not only can my laptop now handle DaVinci Resolve, CAD software, and Google Chrome (I usually always have ~30 tabs and multiple windows open...iykyk) — it can handle them all at the same time! Before using this cooling pad, my system would feel unstable, laggy, and occasionally crash even when the workload didn't seem that heavy. With this cooling pad, my laptop stays much cooler, and I can maintain performance much longer without thermal throttling kicking in. Important to note: the size is LARGE — but that’s honestly a small price to pay for how effective it is. The airflow coverage is clearly doing its job. Another huge plus: it’s not noisy. You'd think that the fast speed would be loud, but the sound just becomes ambient noise which I really like because it sounds like a computer which makes me feel productive lol. And I'd honestly rather listen to the low, steady background hum than my laptop’s loud, sporatic “whirrrrr” when it’s overheating and struggling. I really can't get over how effective this is. My keyboard is cool to the touch and when I press my hand over my laptop's hot spots, they're consistently cool. If you don't mind loosing a bit of desk real estate and want a real performance boost when running demanding software without upgrading your machine, this is absolutely worth it.

This thing is dope. Buy it.
I'm really happy with this cooling pad. Lately I have been doing my gaming on an Alienware M17 with an RTX 2070. The thing gets hot enough that touching parts of it may actually give you a surface burn when it's going full blast. I tested this cooling pad using Red Dead Redemption 2 with most of the settings on Ultra. This is sufficient to bottleneck my GPU at around 45 FPS and put it through heat throttling at about 80°C, with my Intel Core i7 9th gen CPU hitting 100°C and likewise throttling. This cooling pad on the maximum 2200 RPM setting dropped both by >20°C and held them there. It drops the temperature as soon as I turn it on. I am genuinely impressed, it exceeded my expectations immediately. It's also not super loud, and I like how the rests on the front edge of it are good enough to clamp my laptop onto it. I don't like that it's powered by a USB-A port instead of a dedicated adapter, because the USB port it gives you in return is only USB 2.0 compliant. This means I'm sacrificing a USB 3.2 port to power this, not a big deal if I were using a dedicated keyboard or wired mouse, but I mainly use mine for removable drives. It works with my trackball mouse's little wireless dongle, though, so it's all good. I may try using a USB-A to USB-C adapter and hooking it into the Thunderbolt port in the back of my computer, though, just so the cord isn't blocking a port I use more often on the side. This has various grooves for adjusting the angle of the pad, I think it pushes a sufficient amount of air that any of them would be good. It also came with 2 extra dust filter pads for the fan, which is a nice touch. It also pulls enough air that I have a feeling they won't be trapping very small particles, but I'm glad that dog hair won't make it through. The little phone holder is useless and kind of dumb, it goes right where you'd have a mouse and it won't hold my Google Pixel 6, at least not in a case. I could see it being useful for someone who does a lot of 2FA throughout the day, though. I will never use it. I expected a lot more of this to be made of metal, but it seems like just the kickstand and magnets that hold the foam pad down and the front clamps are all that's there. It is reasonably thick, the plastic feels both cheap and quality, probably because it's hollow, so I think I'm getting a good balance. It's pretty lightweight, I use a Table-Mate II tv tray for a desk at my couch, and it's not causing me to feel like it's any heavier or less stable, if anything, it's probably lighter than the metal resting pad I was using before. The lights are brighter than my keyboard backlight. I probably won't be using them, it's distracting. There's also no real info in the manual about how it all works, just shows you how to set it up and plug it in. Still, when all is said and done, this is a really awesome cooling pad and worth every penny. I'm glad I didn't spend >$100 for the "name brand" ones.

Awesome cooling pad
This was an excellent purchase and does all that it states it does. Provides massive cooling capabilities. I am not sure if the fans in my laptop are working to their fullest extent, it naturally runs hot and now it runs even hotter. After using this pad, it is noticeably cooler to touch, internal temps are much lower, and i feel much more comfortable using the laptop now. The RGB lighting and selections are super attractive and an added bonus. The angle mechanism also feels solid. The sole reason I didn't give it 5 stars, is because the fan developed a clicking noise after about a week of daily use. It hasn't affected the operation however and is not significantly loud, but definitely noticable. However, comparing the price point of this pad with others, I am satisfied with that being the only noticeable difference, provided it does not evolve into an issue later down the line, and if it does I will update this review.

Laptop running too hot? This is the cooler for you.
When I was gaming, my laptop was hitting 96C easily. Even when not doing much gaming it was in the 80s and I noticed my games were stuttering and lagging a bit (the laptop will reduce cpu to lower temps automatically) and it was just even hot to the touch when doing things like streaming videos and doing a lot. Idle, my computer was sitting in the 80s. I bought this thinking "It's kinda expensive so it better work" and man, did it work. My GPU doesn't get above 75c with the fan full blast and my core temps don't reach out of the 50's. This thing is amazing. Straight up. I had 30c temp drops which will also prolong the life of the laptop since it's not boiling all the time. You'll see ones costing $100 but this one does the exact same thing and if it can cool my laptop, it can cool yours. Get this one. It works well, looks great and it's nearly half the price.

I like it a lot but came damaged.
Original review: I just got it today but the led light bar only works on one corner and the fan has noise on low speeds. Can't really give a review at the moment but I want to exchange it for the same item. Leaving my last review and picture up to say sometimes you can get a bad one so try again if you find issues. I immediately got a replacement the next day and it works perfectly, keeping my laptop nice and cool while playing Nioh 3 and other demanding games. LED light bar works perfectly as well and the fans are quiet on all speeds. I think it was a shipping damage issue since the first one was shipped directly in its original product box while the other was shipped with the product box inside an Amazon box with padding inside. Ps. Ignore my yugioh mat that's my mouse pad. Lol

Great laptop cooling pad, just a little bulky
This thing is awesome. I've used lesser expensive cooling pads before that did fine. I decided when I upgraded my gaming laptop this past month to pickup a new one. I didn't want to spend a lot of money, however money was not going to limit what I would purchase if it meant a better product. I went back and forth between a few and decided to settle on this one. The cooling pad is great. It fits my 16" laptop perfectly. Something I didn't take into consideration was the foam placement in relation to the fans under the laptop. The computer I had prior had more centralized fan slots where as the new one had multiple spread out. A couple were near the edge of the laptop case. Fortunately, the fans were not obstructed with the foam. It was by a few centimeters however still was acceptable. When purchasing any cooling pad, please keep this in mind. I lucked out. As for the actual item itself. It's great. The cooling pad has one large fan in the center, recessed below the part that holds the laptop. As I mentioned before, there is a foam insert that goes around the inner perimeter of the cooling pad. This helps the laptop stay securely on the pad as well, provides a softer area to seat the computer, and helps seal off the area to ensure airflow is efficient. It is powered by a USB-A to USB-A cord. The unit itself has another USB slot in the back so you're technically not losing a port. If you plug it into a USB 3.x slot, your port will effectively be downgraded as the port on the rear of the fan is not a USB 3.x. Minimal for me as I don't use many peripherals. The RGB is what you would expect. There are two buttons on the face as well as a "dial". The power button does exactly what you expect it to do. When you power on the computer, it automatically turns on the device as well. The second button controls the RGB. I'm not the biggest fan of RGB so I typically shut it right off. You can cycle through I think 10 different patterns for the RGB with that button as well. Next to the RGB button is a display. That shows you the current RPMs on the fan below. When you power it on the fan starts at 300rpm. I'm not sure what it can go up to, but I typically change it to 1300 rpm when I'm gaming. This allows it to not sound like a NASA aircraft in my house but still keeping temps low. You needs will vary of course. The item itself is extremely light. The height adjuster is just a metal bar that is hidden away under the entire unit. You have to kind of pull 7/8 of the cooling pad vertical and the bar will come down. I usually keep it 2nd notch from lowest for my liking, but ultimately that's up to you. I do it just to ensure I have a little bit more airflow and the laptop isn't at a high distance should something fall. This also comes with a plastic piece that clips to the side of the laptop cooling pad to stand your phone on. I never use it as it's flimsy at best, I have to really push my phone in to get it to seat properly, and if I want to charge it I'd have to lay it landscape. When I'm focusing on my laptop and the phone is so low, there's really no sense to even have it there as I wouldn't see it anyhow. All in all, this is a great buy. I'm happy with it for the month I've had it. Should anything change, this will change.

Great for the price
My son loves this cooling for his laptop. He’s a gamer and it does cool the computer down quite a bit. There are different settings on it. It has different colors that light up different colors or you can have it at one. Very nice product we’ve had it over a year now still working great.

Cools effectively, easy to adjust the angle for viewing, very light and easy to use.
My Dell Laptop core processors were normally running anywhere between 150 - 175 degrees Fahrenheit when I was gaming. I regularly used a dust vacuum to clean out the air flow grill on the bottom. Even so, a few times I had a "critical heat warning" pop up, which caused me to stop the game. So, I researched this ChillCore laptop cooling pad. A few reviewers mentioned the fragility of the plastic tab that supports the bottom of the laptop when the unit is raised. That concerned me, but in reading the other reviews that raved how it greatly lowered the temperature of their laptops, I decided to purchase it and see how well it worked. First, the unit was boxed well to safely protect it during shipment. When I opened the box and lifted the unit out I found out that it is very light and thin. It has an ability to be used laying flat, or raised to various levels using a metal support can fit into a series of slots. The unit is powered by the laptop using a fairly short cord, but was of adequate length to plug into the USB slot. One point though, when I opened the box I could not find any instructions. That may be because they forgot to insert a set, or they expected users to look up the instructions on-line. It was however fairly easy to figure out. Once set up, I monitored the temperature of the laptop through an app I had previously downloaded. Even when the laptop is pushed to the limit gaming, the temperatures of the various core processors only rose to a range of 135 - 145 degrees Fahrenheit with the variable speed fans set on 4. Using lower fan speeds allowed the temp to rise, higher speeds saw no further reduction in temps, so I kept it at 4. From what I've read, the range in which the laptop ran using this unit is an ideal range. The lights were not really something I'm into, although if I was, they have a wide range of settings, some steady, others flashing, or scrolling. There are 8 different variations of lighting available. You scroll through them by pressing a button that has both tactile and audible clicks. If you do not want the lights on, that come on every time you turn it on, just press and hold that button for about three seconds and they shut off. If you're into lights, this unit should fit your needs. I wanted to wait for a few weeks of use before writing this review, so I could test out the unit thoroughly, including the issue of the plastic support tab breaking. I have to say it exceeds in all aspects. The tab worked flawlessly, the metal support used to elevate the angle of use, also performed flawlessly with nothing negative of note. The elevation I set it at stayed steady with no slipping of breaking.
