Great function, good value
Extend the life and usefulness of your laptop or miniPC by using your spare SSD slot to host an external GPU via Oculink. Works exactly as described, which is excellent. Be aware, the wires are pretty stiff, making it difficult to "stuff" away any slack - be sure to order as close to the exact length as you need, or you may have issues with the excess.

Works well. fits into VGA hole
I initially thought something wasnt working. I got a gtx 980 to hookup to my dell optiplex 3060 micro PC. I would get a black screen during bootup. When I booted up with integrated graphics and then plugged in the 980 I would get a distorted image of sorts. After I did a firmware update to the GPU the black screen during bootup went away. I had to install windows 11 and run a file called "firmware update for display port 1.4" from nvidia. The bios could recognize the gpu correctly now. The image cleared right up for ubuntu linux after I installed the nvidia driver. The driver install switched my windowing system from wayland to x11 which is weird. Anyways it's all good now and I'm running tons of games through steam/proton/wine on ubuntu linux! I bought this adapter specifically because of the way it mounts the oculink port. It fits perfectly into the empty VGA port slot on my dell optiplex 3060 micro. I can still fit my SSD into the sata with the regular plastic drive caddy thing. It fits almost perfect. I modded the bios on the dell optiplex to make the m.2 slot run at PCI-e 3.0 speeds.

Exactly what I needed
Used this to connect my eGPU to my mini Pc with an nvme adapter. Pro - works great with Oculink Con- wish it was 6-12 inches longer.

Good for converting SSD slot to use Oculink EGPU
I used this product to connect to my 2nd NVMe SSD slot to oculink powered EGPU I setup using a Minisform DEG1. My laptops bottom can't close unless I cut out an area in the bottom frame on the side to run the cables but so far so good. I've got my Rx 7800 xt up and running for msfs using a laptop for VR.

Great for converting NVMe to Occulink.
This worked great for converting a NVMe slot to Occulink. I ended up mounting the keystone out of the side of a mini PC and it has been working great with an external Occulink dock, a 600W PSU and a GPU. Significantly better gaming experience than integrated graphics for AAA titles.

Design flaw
I purchased 3 units of different lengths and they all didn't work. Upon disassembling one I found a design flaw that can prevent them from working with some oculink devices. This is where it gets technical. Oculink has 42 pins, but this only has 24 wires. After the 18 main PCIe wires and the 4 for power and ground, that leaves 2 wires for the 3 auxiliary PCIe signals. The issue arises in that the clock request signal is routed to the oculink port, even though the standard doesn't make space for it. So if your device doesn't know to break the standard as well the clock will never get requested and the communication will never happen. Luckily this is something that can be fixed in the field, but it shouldn't have to be.

Works for PCIe 4.0 !!!
Excellent! Reliably transmits PCIE 4.0 x 4, works great with external GPUs, and a flexible connector? This is THE best m.2 to oculink adapter I've tested out of five different ones I've tried to use. IT WORKS!

NVME to oculink receiver
So far, this device seems to work. Plugged into an NVME drive bay, the OS can recognize an old SATA RAID card. The goal is to interface this occulink with a 10 GbE RJ45 adapter, and also a Minisforum DEG1. More to follow.

It has Pcie4 x4 speed as advertised but I needed to use insulating tape to cover those exposed single cables so they don't loose signal by slight touch of metal of my case.

752 / 5.000 I chose this Oculink adapter based on the advice of a user on Reddit. Before that, I had one with a flat cable that was good when it worked but I would have trouble getting it to work. The problem was that until it recognized the external graphics card (my configuration is a Kodlix AD69 minipc - Ryzen 9 6900HX and an external GMKtec AD-GP1 - Radeon 7600M XT graphics card) I would have to restart the system several times, and even reinstall the drivers because both the internal and external graphics cards are on Adrenalin drivers. It used to happen that the sound would stutter and the entire system would slow down, but now everything works from the start and without errors. I even contacted the manufacturer GMKtec, but they couldn't help either. So I decided to try this adapter, which has separate cable wires, and I was not mistaken. All recommendations.
