Great calendar
I've been ordering this calendar for so many years I can't even remember when I started. Love it. Through the years the pages have gotten thinner, and this year, it's plastic free, which I love , but didn't care for the new stand it's not as nice looking as the clear plastic one. I see others complaining about it also, but I just reused the one from last year the pages still fit perfectly. Every year this is a calendar on my list for one of my Christmas gifts. And I get it every year. I will continue because all the doggies make me happy.

Terrible downgrades for the 2025 calendar
I have been purchasing this calendar for over 10 years and always look forward to the wonderful photographs. However, this year‘s calendar is a HUGE disappointment. The cardboard “frame“ is cheap and not likely to survive the year. I keep mine in the kitchen on the counter and if it gets wet it is going to be ruined. The font for the month and day are extremely small now and impossible to read unless you’re right next to the calendar. And just a note that the pages have been getting thinner over the years, so the calendar is no longer the quality product it used to be. This will be my last year as a customer unless the quality materials are returned.

Beware of format changes in 2025!!
I've been a loyal user of this Page-a-Day Dog Calendar for many years now and until this year would have always given it five stars. The photography is beautiful and the copy/quotes in the upper right hand corner are a fun little read, too. Last year, or maybe it was the year before, they slightly reduced the date, day of week, and month in the upper left hand corner, which I was unhappy with, but at least it was still easy enough to read. However, THIS year, they have reduced it by more than HALF (see attached image for reference). Clearly, Workman Publishing has forgotten that this is a CALENDAR, which makes the date information kind of the point. This decision to try to make the "ugly date" information less noticeable so that it doesn't distract from the photography is patently absurd, as this new layout almost renders the calendar useless!Speaking of useless, the poor decisions and redesigns don't stop with the new date layout. As others have noted, Workman Publishing, in their infinite tree hugging wisdom, opted for a very badly designed cardboard easel in 2025. It's absolutely ENORMOUS and seems too cheap and flimsy to be expected to endure a full year's employ. So, if you happen to have had a 2024 version of the calendar, hang on to that plastic easel so that you can reuse it, because the ONLY smart thing they did in the 2025 version of this calendar was retain the same overall page size as the previous year!

SAVE YOUR STAND FROM THIS YEAR!!
What a disappointment! I’ve bought this calendar for many years, for myself and for gifts, and it’s been perfect. But now they’ve changed it! Instead of the nice, compact, clear plastic frame — now the pages sit in a CHEAP, wrinkled, cardboard one that covers an inch of the sides and 1/2” on the bottom of the picture. And it’s shiny, so it reflects the light and is distracting. Fortunately, the pages are the same size, so I can keep the old frame and put the new pages in. But what an ugly and useless change, for no reason. (In addition, the day and date used to be in a nice big font so you could see it in a quick look — now it’s closer to the size of the tiny caption and hard to make out.) If you have a successful product, DON’T CHANGE IT!!!! Second photo — the current calendar (two little fluffy dogs); first photo — the new one (shows a small dog running — see how the white cardboard frame cuts out the faces of the two dogs on the sides).

Odd change
The calendar is great - something to look forward to every day. The change in the holder is weird - the new white plastic looks cheap and unattractive. Fortunately we still have the older clear one to use. Sometimes, things are fine just the way they are and shouldn't be changed.

Best Photos Yet
I've been buying these for the last ten years, and 2025 photos are the best yet.
