Ugly colored sweat bar. Not comfortable around ears but they won't slide of your face - as intended. Questionable durability.
Do you remember the old aviators from the 1980s with the cable temples? Well, these are not the same. The size and form factor are similar to the standard 58mm Ray Ban aviators that are a classic Ray Ban staple. The problem is the sweat bar across the top. It appears to be almost pink in color. Others have posted very accurate pictures. I can see someone with a fair complexion looking good in these but it might be better to opt for a black pair of frames. Blonde hair and light skin probably looks good with the Arista green lens and gold frame. The pink bar is a real turn off for me because I tan quickly in the summer and I have brown hair. I am an older guy with a balding/receding hair line so the color and design does not work for me. To be fair, your mileage may vary. Here is the problem with the cable temples that wrap around the ears. They need some minor adjustment to be comfortable. The originals (I still have one from 1985) have cables that are metal and wrapped in clear silicone. They were/are flexible as then are made of tiny segmented metal gold links with a flexible-bendable core. You can shape them to suite the shape of your ears. Once adjusted, they won't fall off your face. You can wear a hat over the glasses and temples remain comfortable. These updated frames are not quite the same. The cables wrap around the ears but can not really be adjusted to fit your ears so they become uncomfortable from pressure points after a few minutes. Remember that one needs to bend slightly them to get them on and take them off. Once on your face, they do stay put and so they won't fall off; the trade off is that they are uncomfortable. Sadly, one of the cables broke after only two weeks of light use. Close up of the flexible core appears to me to be made of plastic or some other composite; I guess you can't really expect them to be made from titanium at this price point. I am really gentle with my sunglasses so I find this to be frustrating and a real annoyance. I had to return mine.If you like the pink sweat bar and prefer the flexible cables, they will stay on your face as intended. Be warned that these are not the same high quality as the Ray Ban originals from many years ago. Try before you buy.

Worst Pair of Ray Bands I Have Ever Owned
I was ecstatic when I found these on Amazon and brought these last month for my trip to Italy and Trans-Atlantic cruise. I only wore them once since they would not stay on the bridge of my nose. The temples are completely different at the ends where they wrap around the back of the ears!!! They left end of the temple piece is so uncomfortable that it is painful to wear!!!! I have left them in their case along with the documentation and lint cloth. Will Never USE these again! Total waste of money!! Only gave it a single star because NO STARS is not an option!!!!NOT HAPPY!!!

Here's the rest of the specifications.....
You have all the information you need here, if you want to step-up to RayBan Outdoorsman, this is the time. The important bit of info that is left off of most any description is that these standard RB3030's come with cable temples that measure 145. This is a standard length, and even as big as my mellon is, they seemed to fit okay. Understand also that the lenses can also be found in 62mm width, so if you have a wider face, the extra 8+mm might be appropriate. If you were looking for a recommendation to buy these glasses and you hadn't figured out that the best is the best, not much I can say to convince you. Great stuff, the best there is.

Classic Cool
Classic Aviators- been flying with these for over 25 years, cable temples (which you just bend to adjust fit) help glasses stay put in the proper position even when sweating, and are thin enough to wear comfortably under headsets. Can't beat the price, especially with the no tax and free shipping... And I got to shop in my underwear.I will buy these again and again

I'll tell you I absolutely love wearing these glasses
I'll tell you I absolutely love wearing these glasses. The only complaint is just like other users the curl around your ear can hurt at some point and you need to play with it in order to get it comfortable to wear a long-term. A little disappointed my previous pair had the case it had a belt hole on it which made it very easy for me to take on and off these glasses and still feel comfortable at keeping them protected.

Great glasses ... but
For some strange reason, my distance vision has improved with age - to the point that I wanted to see if I could use non-prescription sunglass lenses & stick on reading inserts on the bottom. These glasses are definitely the real deal - built like a tank - but for me anyway, compared to my prescription lenses, this glass is heavy. Real heavy - and combined with the hard plastic nose pads, I started to notice some discomfort after an hour or so. So - I simply bought some stick on foam pads & the problem was solved. Don't know if anyone else has the same issue, but figured it was worth mentioning. But the glasses are superb.
