Good Things Come in Small Packages
Hard to beat this watch at its price point. It is on the smaller side, but still a nice looking piece. The bull bars give it an extra character of toughness and with the 10yr battery, there’s not much to nit pick about. Yes, it’s small, but that’s not necessarily a negative. It’s light and makes it easy to forget you’re wearing it. And although it’s smaller, it’s still legible and easy to read. It has a cool, appearance too. Gave it to my Pastor as a gift and he immediately liked it and was thankful because his other watch quit working on him. He said he felt naked without having a watch and he’s been enjoying this ever since I gave it to him as a gift. Again, it may be small, but it’s a tough little watch that looks like it has an attitude and with a 10yr battery, this is tough to beat for a Casio that’s under $20.00. It’s small, but lean and definitly mean!

I beat my watches up at work. This one takes a beating and it's cheap so who cares.

$15 and lasted a year
Bought this last year summer (2014) it was inexpensive (paid $15.49), had good water resistance, and had the protector bar. I tend to be a little rough with my watches so honestly the protective bar was the selling point. It has stood up to a cruise vacation, pools, showers, landscaping, washing dishes, and many beach trips. Yesterday, I dropped it from my wrist as I went to take it off, onto tile floor. The second hand works but the hour and minute hand move A LOT slower than they should. After 10 minutes pass (by checking phone) the minute hand only moved 2 minutes. The time is WAY off and I can't keep changing it. DO NOT DROP THIS WATCH. Otherwise, it's a pretty good watch for the price. My next watch will be a Casio G-Shock GD-400 and they're on sale right now for ~$70. Oh, and before I forget. The protector/bar - that little piece of metal - is $20 to replace so don't bend or damage it!

A Really, Really Nice Watch
I was looking for a watch that I could wear to the beach -- that would look good as an everyday watch, yet one that could handle some inadvertent sand or salt water. And one, that should salt, sand, rocks and the watch end up fighting it out, losing the watch wouldn’t break the bank. Finally, since swapping out a battery typically eliminates water resistance, I wanted a watch that would last long enough to make its 50+ fathom resistance something I could count on for more than a year or two. Short of a real-life test, this watch is just what I wanted. It’s attractive as an everyday watch, looks good with black (my signature shirt color), fits nicely, and – if the spec’s are to be believed – should survive anything I would reasonably throw at it. I will update this review if and when water, sand and the watch collide. But for now I’m incredibly pleased with my purchase. The watch looks just like its photo on Amazon’s website. The face is a bit small, as some other commenters have noted. But I’m tall and small wristed, and for me those huge diver’s watches just look silly. This fits perfectly, looks great and is very comfortable. For those of you who have larger arms and wrists, however, this may be a bit too small. The cage you see in the photo has some advantages, and will protect the face against some damage and scratches, as others, such as those in construction have mentioned. The nice part here is that the cage can be made to snap off easily with a bit of effort to reveal a very clean appearance and the nicely rounded lines of the face. And, of course, I kept the cage in the box if I need to reattach it. The strap thickness is reasonable and just right for my needs. It may be a bit too thin for rough and tumble wear. Overall, when I combine appearance, battery life, water resistance and price this watch earns a solid 5 stars.

Casio Delivers Again! Perfect for My Dad's Swimming & Daily Wear.
You know, Casio watches rarely disappoint, and the HDA600B is no exception. My dad, who's in his 70s, just signed up for water aerobics at our new community pool. To help him keep track of time without worrying about splashes, I snagged him this watch. The 100M water resistance is absolutely perfect for his daily swimming and general use – no issues there at all. It's got a lightweight design, so he says it's super comfortable to wear all day. And that classic metal guard around the crystal? That's vintage Casio practicality right there – keeps it from getting scratched up, which is a huge plus. But honestly, the biggest win for us is how simple it is to operate. My dad found adjusting digital watches or smart watch for daylight saving or travel super frustrating. With this analog one, he can handle all the time adjustments himself without needing to ask for help, which genuinely makes him happy. For an older person, that independence means a lot. Getting a 100M water-resistant watch with a 10-year battery life for under thirty bucks? Only Casio can pull that off. This watch is a no-brainer recommendation!
