It has been installed for several months now and is working great. The only thing I would change, were the size of the screws that attach the top to the base. The screws were hard to install being so small.

Installation was easier than we expected!The one-way damper prevents pests, snow and rain from coming in, while allowing airflow.It’s made of galvanized steel so will not rust or corrode.Whether your a DIY-er or having someone install this vent, it doesn’t matter.Anyone can do it as long as you know how to mark the holes, and drive a screw!The design means it can be removed for cleaning, and easily put back in place.Overall we’re very pleased with this vent. It’s a good price point too.

This is a very well made product and was very easy to assemble. It is of sturdy powder-coated metal construction and the back-draft damper operates freely. The 'fine mesh grid' is of 1/4" squares, so if you have invasive multi-legged critters smaller than that, this might not work for you (I would have preferred a grid of 1/8" squares). Still, for most applications this should work great. I am planning on trying it on a vertical wall, as opposed to a slanted roof, so I will need to update this once that is complete. I expect it will work as intended due to the robustness of the manufacturing. I recommend giving it a try.

Don't ask me why, but rain was coming through my bathroom vent on occasion. Nothing like being on the potty and getting rained on, lol. This was so easy for the repairman to install and I am very happy that nothing will be coming through. The guy said this was one of the nicest vents he had seen and wanted to know where I got it. He assured me that it would prevent anything from entering my house, so I am very happy with the vent.

The price may seem a little high at first - but once you see this roof jack - you will think it is one heck of a bargain.Built with heavy steel, and it has a beautiful black powder coat finish. This will last the life of the house - I have no doubt.Also it is two part - which makes it extremely easy to install, and to service the screen if you need to clean it.Mine did arrive bent on the screen section - I was able to bend it back without any issues, but I did deduct one star for not having the best packaging. I would buy again regardless.
