Minelab GO-FIND 66 High-Power Ultra-Light Metal Detector for Adults with 10" Waterproof Coil, Earbuds & Digging Tool

I'm new to metal detecting. I wanted a compact device that I can carry on my bike or keep in my car boot for when the urge to have some fun on the beach. This machine fits the bill 100%. Simple to use, found metal objects (no gold yet🤔😉) very easily on my first use. Simple controls. Happy beginner.

Bought as new, and it arrived seemingly used. It has a foreign object stuck under the screen - myself and my partner assumed it was some sort of logo, until their support confirmed it wasn’t supposed to be there. In terms of usage, it screeches at anything and doesn’t appear to be very accurate as the categories change within millimetres. I highly doubt I’ve got iron, a coin and a ring in the same hole. As an aside, it does not come with batteries - and for something that retails for £199, that isn’t good enough for me. It feels flimsy, is very light and very plasticky. It is more of a toy than a serious bit of kit. Doesn’t appear to be value for money.

Its good for kids, lightweight and easy to use but with the vanquish 340 only 50 more I'd say get the vanquish, its much better

New or old to metal detecting this detector is perfect. Loads of settings to discriminate the trash and packs into a rucksack so you can take with you on your travels.

I regret to provide feedback on the Go-Find Minelab 11 Metal Detector, as my experience with the product has been less than satisfactory. While the initial detection capabilities seemed promising, a notable issue arises when attempting to locate the approximate location of the detected metal. Unfortunately, the detector consistently fails to maintain detection as I narrow down the target area. This inconsistency in performance has significantly hindered the device's usability and has been a source of frustration during my usage. The detector often fails to register the presence of the metal once initial detection has occurred, making it challenging to pinpoint and retrieve targets accurately. This inconsistency in detecting metal throughout the search process has impacted the overall effectiveness of the product, rendering it less reliable than expected. The issue appears to be beyond user technique, as various troubleshooting attempts have yielded minimal improvement. I would appreciate further insights or guidance on resolving this issue. If this is a known limitation or if there are recommended solutions, it would be beneficial for users to be aware of these considerations before making a purchase. I hope this feedback contributes to product improvement and aids potential buyers in making informed decisions.
