Another small step upwards in Photoshop Elements application (and the bundled premier video application) versionsA few useful improvements noted vs 2022 version and many things (like spot healing) are very much better than 2018. One downward step is that the purchase price now buys you a 3 year licence. So unlike previous versions it won't be possible to retire the older one onto a spare /travel laptop etc after the 3 years.A small annoyance is that (reviewing clean install of latest version in UK as of mid Jan 2025) .webp photo file support is definitely NOT there out of the box (the sales pages suggest it is or should be but it really isn't ! ).(By contrast, the Camera Raw Plug-in is 'there' but needs a simple activating step in the menus before it will work)For .webp on windows you may wish to download a .webp plug in for this increasingly common format from google (currently WebPShop_0_4_3_Win_x64.8bi) and I found I needed to place that file in your windows drive \Program files \Common files \Adobe \Plug-ins \Elements25 \File Formats directory. For confirmation if you install Camera Raw the Plug in for that is already there.Re-start and .webp works perfectly and appears in the appropriate menus / drop down boxes. This should have been easier !All round good value until the 3 years runs out . .
