Works fine, unscrew old lock, add the appropriate spacer (two screws) and screw this back in. simple.

Got these to replace old chipped handles , had to drill more holes as did not match existing holes on pvc windows and did not want to remove plastic strips that catch went onto as that would leave holes but looks ok now fitted

One of my window handles was still functioning, but didn't feel like there was much life left in it and it was on the verge of breaking, so got this window handle kit to replace it.I checked I got the correct version (rotate handle clockwise to lock the window) and awaited it's arrival.On opening the box it looked like a thorough kit in terms of parts provided however I was a bit disappointed there were no instructions of any kind. I've since found there are some on the amazon listing however if the listing disappeared (as they sometimes do) then you're left with no instructions of any kind.I removed the old handle from the frame and noticed the back surface of the two handles were not alike. On the original one the handle rotates an approx 2" square profile metal rod that engages the windows latches as you rotate the handle.No such rod is included in the kit so presumable you're expected to reuse the original, which is fine, however the back side of the new handle has no hole on the axis of the handle which will accept the other end of this rod. Yes the handle will likely screw onto the existing holes on the window frame without issue, but I fail to see any way that it can link to the mechanism and therefore isn't functional.It's a shame as the listing description clearly states it's a universal handle - which it seemingly isn't.If I'm mistaken I'll definitely change this review, but for the time being, it's not a universal handle and didn't fit/function.That crucial issue aside, the quality seems good and included fittings are likely helpful for windows that it does work with...

I got these to replace worn out existing window handles which would no longer lock properly and were difficult to open and close. These were pretty straightforward to install if a bit fiddly. They're a universal fit so no issues with that. They look the same as the originals. The lock works fine and the handles open and close smoothly.
