One hell of a subwoofer for rhe price
My meticulously crafted 11.2 Atmos setup was already a sonic marvel, delivering earth-shattering bass that shook the very foundation of my room. Yet, I couldn't shake the feeling that something was missing, a subtle deficiency in the rear of my listening space. The absence of woofers in my rear speakers left a void that demanded to be filled. That's when I decided to take a chance on the Rockville Rock Shaker 15-inch subwoofer, and I'm absolutely ecstatic with the results, especially given its incredibly affordable price. Positioned strategically behind my couch, this beast of a sub lives up to its name, vibrating the entire seating area with intense, low-frequency energy. Despite being ported, unlike my existing sealed Definitive Technology subs, I haven't experienced any conflicting resonances; in my room, all the subwoofers work in perfect harmony. The sound was impressive straight out of the box, but after a few days of intense use, filled with movie marathons, the Rock Shaker continues to improve as it breaks in. Watching films like "Sudden Death," "Deadpool & Wolverine," and "Rampage" has become a truly immersive and visceral experience. Not only that, this subwoofer also shines with music, effortlessly reaching the lowest frequencies. I'm honestly baffled by the negative reviews; as someone who appreciates good audio quality, I find its performance remarkably impressive for the price. I especially disagree with anyone who claims this is better than a 10 inch, they must have placed it wrong or it is defective, because I do not agree at all. As long as your expectations are realistic, and you're not anticipating a $2000 performance from a $200 unit, I'd wholeheartedly recommend this subwoofer. It even includes both high and low-level inputs, a feature often found in much higher-end equipment. Though delivery was a bit slow, the wait was ultimately worth it. The only minor peculiarity I've observed is that the sub seems to power off immediately when the signal stops, rather than adhering to the 15-minute delay stated in the manual. Whether this is unique to my unit is unclear, but aside from that, I enthusiastically recommend the Rockville Rock Shaker 15-inch subwoofer to anyone looking to boost their low end or add a powerful rear sub to an existing system.

Very adequate for the price. The Performance to cost ratio is very good for this 15" powered sub.
Overall it's a pretty decent subwoofer. It does fill the room with a lot of 120Hz-60Hz low end as expected to have it sitting. In a corner of my basement, which is probably the most reinforced corner of my house. I also have a powered 12" about 7' away, and they seem to compliment each other when running DiracLive in movie mode. For TV and Movies, it is more then enough for adding 200Hz down to 60Hz for bombs and explosion effects. Would be nice if it came with even a simple remote, as the controls are on the back and it's very heavy to move if you want to change parameters and it's in the corner. I was planning on opening it up and adding more polyfill material, but I think it sounds pretty good the way it is. Just stock. I want to play with it some more. I'm not pushing it very hard yet, I've only had it for three months. Will test it for music and update the review, and after the Super Bowl. There is no way I can keep the box that came with this for a year for the warranty because the box is...Huge.

Bad speaker
Everything looks awesome till the minute you start bumping music at high volume, speaker box will bounce around and speaker will distort very bad. Don't recommend this speaker.

Damn
I bought this to show my 4 year old nephew what dinosaurs sound like. Also, I enjoy annoying his parents. I succeeded. This thing is loud and had the windows in the house shaking. The final resting place for this speaker is in my garage to give me the low end I need for my six car garage. In the picture you can see the difference in size between the 8",12", and 15". I also ordered two 12" active subs but I don't think I will need them. Maybe I'll have to build a theater 🤔. I have tried the 8", the 12" and the 15" Rockville shakers. They are all pretty awesome for the price. For a home theater I think two 8" would be amazing. I never thought I would say this...but I thing the 12" and 15" are too loud if you have neighbors. I have 2-12" cerwin Vegas in my car and I love them. But I don't sit out in front of my house and bump them. I annoy strangers for a brief period of time. If I had a basement I would put 2-15's down there and rock the hell out of them. They are clear, responsive and very cheap for the amount of air they move. I am very happy, my nephews parents are not.

Shake it for me
This might be the biggest bang for your buck that I’ve seen so far hooked it up the day came in. It actually shakes the house stuff falls off shelves couldn’t be happier. Will be ordering a second one for my final surround sound build but yes, do buy it if you’re coming from a small sub I couldn’t imagine $1000 15 inch sub, but I am more than happy with this
