This subwoofer provides high quality bass to augment your other Sonos products
If you're looking to add wireless speakers, etc. to your TV or other entertainment devices, Sonos is the way to go. Sonos is quite expensive, but you're buying not only high-quality audio devices but also the flexibility of being wireless for sound and the interconnectedness of all the Sonos devices. The Sonos app recognizes all of your various devices and makes it easy for them to work together. You can assign devices to specific rooms or, if you want, set up a home audio network where music is played everywhere. The Sonos app also integrates access to Apple Music, Amazon Music, or just the Sonos music that they offer. For a home theater, starting with a Sonos soundbar opens the door for adding other Sonos speakers and a Sonos subwoofer. The sound bar, while using the Sonos application on your smartphone, will recognize other speakers and a subwoofer in the room. You also can configure the speakers to work separately, or they can be part of a surround sound system tied to the Sonos sound bar. The nice thing about each of the system audio components is that individually, you can touch the component (a speaker or soundbar for example) and control the room sound level, so you don't always have to go to the Sonos app on your smartphone to do so. You can get great sound for your entertainment system without requiring a receiver and complicated wiring. Generally, you just need: • A power cable • An HDMI cable for connecting to a TV • Preferably an Ethernet cable so all the devices can work over your Wi-Fi network • The Sonos subwoofer can work wirelessly, without requiring an Ethernet cable connection which is optional

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Deep, Room-Shaking Bass That Completes the Arc Ultra
I paired the Sonos Sub 4 with my Arc Ultra soundbar, and the difference is unbelievable. The dual Sonos-engineered drivers produce bass that’s not just deep, but clean and powerful—no distortion, no buzz, just rich low end that you can feel as much as hear. The ported enclosure really brings out those low frequencies, making movies, games, and music incredibly immersive. The force-canceling acoustic design works exactly as promised—I can push the volume and still get distortion-free bass. Setup couldn’t be easier: plug in the power, connect through the Sonos app, and it’s ready to go. I love the flexibility too—you can stand it up or lay it flat to tuck it under a sofa. Combined with the Arc Ultra, this setup truly transforms your living room into a theater. Add one Sub and you’ll be amazed; add two and you’re in for a mind-blowing experience. The sleek matte finish and sculptural design also make it a showpiece rather than something you’d want to hide. If you own an Arc Ultra, the Sub 4 is an absolute must-have. Together, they deliver cinematic sound that rivals high-end theaters right in your home.

Incredible Bass Upgrade – A Perfect Pairing for the Arc Ultra
Adding the Sonos Sub (Gen 4) to my Arc Ultra soundbar was the best decision I’ve made for my home theater setup. While the Arc already delivers exceptional sound, the Sub takes it to an entirely new level by adding that deep, cinematic bass that you can feel as much as you hear. The sound is incredibly rich and immersive. Whether it’s an action-packed movie or a music playlist, the Sub provides those low-frequency tones that truly bring the experience to life. Explosions, rumbling effects, and bass-heavy tracks now feel like they’re happening right in my living room—it’s like having a professional movie theater at home. Setup was a breeze, just like with the Arc. The Sonos App made it simple to pair the Sub with my existing system, and fine-tuning the sound to fit my room was effortless. The wireless design also makes it easy to place the Sub anywhere in the room for optimal performance. I know some people debate whether the Sub is a "necessary" addition to the Arc, but for me, it absolutely is. If you want that room-shaking, heart-thumping bass that completes the home theater experience, the Sub is essential. I couldn’t be happier with this upgrade—it’s the perfect companion to the Arc Ultra soundbar and worth every penny for anyone who values premium sound quality. Highly recommend!

Essential for stereo
A couple of months ago I replaced my old stereo system with a pair of Era 300 speakers. They sit above bookshelves in my family room and because you can set one up as the left speaker and one is the right you get true stereo. I was very happy with the system but my old speakers had 15 inch woofers. I almost didn't purchase this because the speakers sounded so good. I'm glad I did not only for percussion instruments but even for the lower range of wind instruments. It certainly fits my system beautifully. I called up with a general question and the gentleman I spoke to at Sonos ask me how I set the speakers up and if I would like him to check the system over. Basically you give them permission in the app and they can run diagnostics and tell you if everything's configured properly. It certainly wasn't necessary but it was so nice to have someone double check that I'd set everything up correctly. Many companies these days make it difficult to get somebody on the phone, Sonos was just the opposite and was willing to spend the time to make sure everything was running properly. I'm only sorry I didn't purchase these components earlier but I'm extremely happy that I have them now.

Best upgrade to your soundbar
Great upgrade to your Sonos Arc Ultra. I bought mine after the purchase of my Sonos Arc Ultra… I never knew what I was missing out on all these years from my old setup. My square footage is about 260 sqft. I was afraid it would be too big for my space. I’m glad I didn’t go with the mini sub. The setup was so easy and sound quality is perfect for my space. It functions as its designed, and speaking of look it doesn’t stand out as an awkward afterthought.
