And the best thing is that they really work to save our plant from the deer.
Effectiveness:These deer repellants are easy to assemble and install in the ground. They are not susceptible to being diluted by rain because the repellant composite is covered so they last thru the raining seasons without being replaced.

The design needs help
I put these out, so far the deer haven't come into our pumpkin patch. We have a terrible time with the deer eating our pumpkins each year. Hopefully this will deter them. It's still early to tell. I'll update later. I thought the design was awful, I didn't care for the bent metal rods, you have to bend them out straight (which is difficult if you don't have much strength in your hands). Plus the piece that sits on top of metal rod barely sits on it, it falls right off. So I bent the end of metal rod (with pliers) into a small loop & twisty tied them on cuz a wind of any kind would send them blowing for sure. It didn't smell to me at all so we'll see if the deer can pick up on it. We've already had a pretty good storm since I put them out & I'm very glad I twisty tied them on or who knows where they would have blown to. Since they weren't super expensive I got them to see if they'd help us with the deer problem. I'll update after harvest!!UPDATE: Don't waste your money. The deer have come into the pumpkin patch & are happily eating away! These don't keep them away or hinder the deer in any way at all. Besides the bad design of the metal stake they come with to put the piece on top of (that falls right off if you bump it or the wind blows) this product doesn't work at all. So disappointed.

Worked great the first two years
Bending the wire to be straight to put in ground was a bit challenging, but the first two years I used this, there were NO deer in my beds. I told all of my neighbors about it. But this year the pods didn't work at all. Not sure why, but I'll try one more year to see if it was a fluke. There is no bad smell, and you don't have to reapply like the spray, and very reasonable. They last about one summer, but that worked well in North Florida.

Worked great for 1 month.
This product worked great for one month then the deer came and ate everything that was to be protected by this product. Had bought three times then refused to continue to use the product.

Don't buy. Doesn't work.
This is a picture of a deer standing directly over the "deer repellent." It obviously doesn't work.I purchased these on May 11th, to protect my Mom's mother's day garden. The picture is from today, June 5th.The pest control does not even work for 30 days. Does not live up to the "all season long" claims. My garden is not safe.

It works
I have used a lot of different deer repellent products over the years and most of them have been a serious disappointment. I live near a stream and the deer like to follow the stream on their as they feed. I put in a new garden and sprayed with one of the putrid egg product. Within a few weeks the deer decided to see how my garden tastes. I put one of these deer repellent stakes at each of my new plants. I see the deer browsing in the woods behind the garden, but none of them has ventured back into the garden area. It works. They haven't even tried to eat my giant hostas. In the row I put a stake at every second plant.Pricey but it works so it's worth it.

They don't work!!
I normally use Critter Ritter that are nearly identical in view, how ever these just don't work like the Critter Ridder ones. I'm so disappointed I can seem to find the Critter Ritter ones here on amazon...they work great!!!!
