Felt proud of myself for repairing my own washer. Good replacement part. Looked like the original that was on the machine. Apparently they aren’t that great rather . I have replaced the same pump twice on the same washer. This last time seems to be still going. Not sure the cause of the pumps going out.

After walking through the manufacturer's diagnostics for the "OE" error code (check trap, check drain line for obstructions), I determined that there were no obstructions that would prevent the washer from draining. Since the new pump was so cheap I decided to go ahead and replace it. I received the new pump in two days thru Amazon and immediately began the install. After reversing the removal steps (four wire connectors, four hoses, and three screws), I buttoned up the back of the washer, reinstalled the pedestal, and stood the machine back up. The process took about 45 minutes and required only a phillips screw driver, pair of pliers, and socket wrench I reconnected the water lines, and installed the drain tube and started a load of laundry. The machine ran thru the complete cycle and properly discharged all water in the tub. I selected this pump as it advertised a five year guarantee. The original pump lasted 8 years. I will be happy if I get five out of the replacement. This repair can be tackled by anyone whom knows how to use the three basic tools outlined above and whom can move and tip the washer on its side

I bought this pump to fix my LG front end washing machine. After about 3 weeks, it failed. I was able to return it and I received a replacement. The replacement only lasted 2-1/2 months and it also failed. I am not sure why I keep getting pumps that won't last very long. Of coarse, my return window is now closed.I am not sure where to buy another pump. I am hesitant to buy another pump from this source. I live 20 miles from the nearest laundry mat and it costs me nearly $30 each time I need to wash my backlog of laundry.I may never buy another LG product. A couple of years ago, my LG refrigerator compressor went out after only 2 years in service. I thought LG brand was a good choice. But now that I am on fixed income, I cannot afford the down time rf the expenses of inferior products.

First off, much longer warranty so hopefully I won't be doing this again (last one made it a few weeks past the one year warranty ... highly annoying). Reason for the low score was that I ended up having to install it twice : maybe not completely but dozens of screws on and off the door is close enough! Why? well the wire connectors on the unit had the plastic shield around it that should guide the blade into the receiver to make the connection, however on this one the plastic shield is too wide and you can plug it in without actually making the connection. I got it all back together and started the washer and halfway through the load "OE" error again! :-( I pulled it apart and found that the power from the machine had slipped below the connection, then plugged it in right and its all working now!

Well made replacement part that looked and felt exactly like the one I removed except not worn out and broken. Easy to install with just a few screws and one wiring loom to deal with. There are no instructions with the part but you tube can help you with how it is installed in your particular model. I laid my front loading LG washer on its back and replaced this from the bottom which was really much easier than taking the front of the washer off. This part arrived quickly and got my washer back in business. Hopefully this one will last as long as the original part. Very happy with it.

Part is not as advertised. Metal plates are not thicker than the one that I took out, and not thicker than the one I had to buy to replace this new one that failed after only 3 days. Supposed to be a 5 year warranty, but no details on how to get that warranty. No warranty label is on the box like in the picture. I am unable to figure out how to use the 5 year warranty. There are no warranty details in or on the box.
