Update: I left my original review below but wanted to compliment the seller on reaching out and offering to fix this issue without any hassle. We love the board and have had a blast using it with friends. They’ve bought their own boards after!The Crokinole board is in good shape and shipped well. However, the chess/checkers side has some extensive discoloration around the full perimeter which is very disappointing. A small additional issue is that one of the pieces came with a big chip in it. Given the cost, I’d like to discuss a replacement board.

If you are at all curious about the game, I think this is the cheapest way to get into it, and it's very fun. The craftsmanship isn't excellent but it still looks good. I was missing a single black button making the numbers not symmetric and the alternative buttons I bought are much more slick, so I recommend getting other buttons and some spray wax to make the board extra slick. I highly recommend it.

My son-in law does not like games and we are a gaming family. He really LOVES this game. However - after a few uses some of the section paint was rubbing off. Also - one of the playing disc had a huge chip out of it. Overall a great game - just needs a little better workmanship.

Good beginner board. We have at our cabin and it gets good use on guys weekends. Super fun and had held up well.

The board is well built and arrived in good condition. Some of the screws for the pins aren’t perfectly vertical but seem solid enough. After waxing the playing surface with Mother’s Brazilian Carnauba Cleaner Wax, it was awesome slick! Very playable!The buttons or pucks are nice sized and flick easily.This is a good value for the cost.

Board is crackedEdit: after posting my review the company reached out to me and offered to replace the board. I had already put time and effort into fixing the board myself so I didn't want to replace it but they offered and sent me a full refund anyways. Great customer service, if you're worried about purchasing a "cheap" board, don't, it's great.

The media could not be loaded. I was introduced to Crokinole by my manager at work, and I've been hooked ever since. This game is fantastic! This set combines Crokinole and Checkers in one package, featuring a 30-inch wooden frame with a 26-inch playing surface and latex covered metal pegs. While my initial enthusiasm was met with genuine enjoyment, there are some drawbacks to consider. The uneven base impacts the board's stability, and I believe an indented bottom for chess/checkers would have been a better design choice. The discs are misshaped, and online reviews mention similar issues. The board surface needs frequent waxing, and it's worth noting the playing surface is not solid wood but laminate. Despite these concerns, it offers good value for its price. I'm on the fence about returning it, hoping for improvements in future. Overall, Crokinole is a game everyone should try. It's great for family and friends. As the slogan says, "It's the best board game you've never played."
