Acer KG281Kbmiipx 28 Inch UHD Gaming Monitor, Black/Silver (TN Panel, FreeSync, 1 ms, DP, HDMI)

Ill just start my review by saying I don't know why there aren't any reviews of the 28 UHD monitor on Amazon or anywhere else? It's a superb piece of equipment (for my purposes anyway)I needed a 4k monitor with 2 hdmi 2.0 ports and this fit the bill perfectly. I primarily use the monitor for console gaming and for the price and features I'm not sure there's much better.Previously to this I've had 2 monitors a Samsung 4k 32 with VA panel which looked great but had poor connectivity and a Benq 4k 32 "video enjoyment monitor" with a va panel which had great connectivity and looked good but had terrible input lag. The two prices of those were 450 and 399 respectively. Anyway enough rambling.The monitor has 3 input ports (display port and 2 HDMI 2.0 ports) and one aux output. It also has freesync over HDMI.The monitor looks good, the bezel is a bit thicker than I'd like but it's not massive. The stand isn't brilliant, there's a slight bit of movement when handling the monitor but nothing too serious.The TN panel in this monitor is excellent, graphics look sharp and bright on both the Xbox one X and PS4 pro. The colours aren't as deep as VA or IPS panels but with a bit of tweaking the monitor can look excellent. There is also very low lag on the monitor, it's really responsive and I've enjoyed using it on fast FPS games like CodOverall this monitor is well worth the price. Compared to others at the same price point the features and panel blow them away. Very pleased with it.Update: 25/07/2018I've recently added a gaming pc to my collection and connected it up to the monitor using the display port. I have now got connected to the monitor PS4 pro, Xbox one X (both connected to the hdmi ports) and the gaming pc connected over dpi, all connections work as they should and all look great. I forgot to mention that the monitor has an option to automatically find an input source which works superbly.

Amazing Gaming monitor!!!.If you looking a monitor for surf the net watch videos or streams at youtube or twitch then this monitor is not for you(althought it does the job just fine)!.By the other hand if you looking a monitor for playing your favourite games smooth, with no lag,instant refresh rate at high FPS then this monitor is perfect for you.1920-1080p resulotion is just fine for gaming where you want high fps,smoothing and no lag at all.Has 6 gaming modes you can choose from.navigation menu is easy and simple allows you change your settings at any time during the game from the buttons at back of the monitor.Freesynch works great with my AMD RX580 8gb graphics card,playing Quake Champions atm i notice huge improvement at my stats from the time i use this monitor(was using my IPS 4k LG TV 60HZ before the difference is like day and night at performance,LG 4K gives amazing colours-graphics playing at 4K settings even at lower ones,perfect for watch videos movies video clips etc, but for pure gaming performance can`t even get close to Acer KG271B).From 60fps that LG could performe i jump at average 150fps(120-180 depends on the map,at duels can reach 200fps as my gaming setup is not the latest ones,i mean with the latest pc components like Ryzen7 i supposed you can get more easily 200-240fps with this monitor.Very happy with this monitor at this price range i think is top class taking my gaming experience at new levels.Highly recommended for Gamers!.

Firstly, I would like to make it clear that I took a risk and pre-ordered at a reduced price, before the monitor was released. In many respects it payed off. Great monitor for what I payed which was roughly £220. 240hz is mind blowing coming from my old 60hz panel!Few gripes, motion blur is my main issue but is somewhat unnoticeable depending on the situation. Colours, are noticeably bad compared to my old monitor but to be fair it was a fairly accurate panel in its day. General sharpness isn't the best but as to be expected with a 1080p resolution so no real complaint there. Aesthetics leave a bit to be desired and were very deceiving in the promotional photos showing a fully blacked out bottom chin when in actual fact the bottom chamfer is highlighted red. I am unsure if this was due to the product being new but this was disappointing to me as it was not what I expected. The attached photo highlights my issue.Apart from this, my overall experience with this monitor has been a positive one and the jump to 240hz is truly amazing. Games now seem so fluid, I notice animations I never before. If you can get it at the right price grab it!P.S. I chose not to mention the stand because although it looks adequate, I never even removed it from packaging as my old one suits my needs better.

Picture looks great when playing on a PS4 pro. 1ms response time is perfect. Slight ghosting, can’t really notice it unless you are looking for it. When immersed in a game you wouldn’t notice it. Colours are a bit weak, can be tweaked and improved with settings. Overall for the money, it’s a great monitor. Would recommend.

240hz is beautiful. Good outer edges, perfect gaming monitor with what i was looking for. I fully enjoy this monitor and will recommend this to anyone who plays games. Only thing i could say is the tn panel, but to me its fine and its what i was looking for.

I was sure 144 to 240 would be huge, but i love it. Its not as monumental as 60 to 144 but the nuance is eyegasm

I got thuis monitor 1 week and the sound is already broken dont buy this acer please fix when its fixed i wil rewrite my review i live in belgium i dont got the original package anymore i trew it away always me hoe do i need to ship this back all thuis stress i buy extra voor equipment for my stream to have no problems andere there's always something that goes wrong ofcourse this is only 1 of my equipment fails

Bought this for video and photo editing, picture is great for this.Plays movies beautifully.Windows 10 allows for scaling of text, which is very useful.

Als ich den Monitor bestellt habe, war nur noch einer verfügbar. Gott sei dank ist jetzt wieder einer da ;), denn dieser Monitor ist sein Geld definitiv wert. Die Framerate bei Windows und Overwatch erstmal hochgesetzt, die DPI etwas runter. Flicks sind jetzt deutlich einfacher, nach 3 Stunden Gewöhnungsphase spiele ich so gut, wie vorher (btw in Diamond, 3300 SR, wird interessant, was da in Zukunft noch alles geht.Die Farben finde ich etwas blass, da werde ich den Monitor noch nachkalibrieren, vielleicht schaffe ich da sogar eine Hardwarekalibrierung. Das Bedienungsmenü am Monitor ist super, ein DP-Kabel ist beigelegt, es schafft die 240hz.Ein Stromkabel für England und Deutschland sind ebenfalls beigelegt.Der Monitor ist nicht höhenverstellbar aber kippbar.Fazit: Wer einen guten Monitor für Gaming sucht, der findet hier vermutlich das beste Preis-Leistungs-Qualitäts-Verhältnis, 240hz sind einfach unglaublich.Den Ton habe ich nie getestet, ich spiele über Boxen.

Choisi pour compléter la configuration gaming de mon fils, ce LCD Acer ne paie pas de mine, et pourtant! Excellent taux de latence, très bel affichage des couleurs et des contrastes, facilité d'installation, consommation raisonnable. C'est un très bon produit

J'ai été vraiment très surpris par le prix de cet écran 240Hz, 27'', 1ms. 275€ pour cela, c'est du jamais vu, et je ne suis pas déçu, la fluidité que procure cet écran est vraiment jouissive, cela donne envie de jouer. Les points qui m'obligent à mettre 4 étoiles sont la dalle TN et le FullHD comblés qui rendent la qualité d'image au rang d'un écran milieu de gamme.

Bel display molto ampio con vari connettori, immagini brillanti e di ottima qualità che lo rendono ideale per vedere film e contenuti in streaming di alta qualità, compatibile con HDCP 2.2.

ACTUALIZO: El modo PIP y el PIB funcionan perfectamente.PIP------------------Permite cambiar el tamaño de la ventana y la posición pudiendo elegir en qué esquina lo preferimos. También permite seleccionar qué fuente queremos tener como principal (que ocupe toda la pantalla)PIB-----------------------Te divide la pantalla en dos mitades iguales y en cada mitad ves una fuente de entrada. Permite estirar la imagen para que rellene toda la mitad de la pantalla correspondiente o simplemente mantiene la relación de aspecto.De momento muy contento con el monitor. Habrá que ver la durabilidad.Subo algunas fotos de cada modo y del monitor en sí.-----------------------------------Escribo la primera review (la dejo en construcción ya que aún tengo cosas que probar) ya que hay poquísima información por la web sobre todo en español para este monitor y en algunos sitios es contradictoria.Después de devolver 3 monitores LG ultrawide por problemas de Bleeding y pixeles muertos me puse a buscar otro monitor. El presupuesto era ajustado por lo que no había muchas opciones, por debajo de los 300€ estaba éste y el samsung U28E570DS/U28E590D.Me decidí por el Acer un poco a ciegas en principio por el diseño de la peaña (plástico y metal en la base) que me parece más bonito y sobre todo por el marco que es negro mate frente al acabado brillante del Samsung.El monitor tiene 2 conexiones hdmi, 1 displayport y salida de auriculares, también tiene altavoces (malos, pero hacen el apaño). En la caja se incluye un cable display port y cable de conexión a la red para europa y otro para EEUU.Mi unidad no tiene pixeles muertos o al menos yo no los he encontrado y me he tirado un rato mirando con imágenes estáticas de colores sólidos para identificarlos más fácilmente. Tiene bleeding como casi todos los paneles pero no es como para hacerte sangrar los ojos y tras la mala experiencia de los LG pues decidí quedármelo. Los ángulos de visión son buenos para lo que uno puede esperar de este monitor y despues de poner las opciones de color, contraste, etc, al gusto el resultado es más que satisfactorio. Los videos en 4k son un escándalo :)Importante utilizar el cable displayport suministrado o uno de buena calidad, con el que yo tenía no conseguía alcanzar el 4k a 60hz y ya me estaba volviendo loco hasta que probé el que se traía el monitor.Se supone que al menos uno de los HDMI es 2.0 pero no lo puedo probar porque no tengo el cable adecuado.Tiene las opciones de PIB y PIP.La parte negativa es el menú, la navegación es terrible y hacer cualquier ajuste requiere de unas cuantas pulsaciones de botón.Tiene varios modos de imagen, entre ellos 3 en los que puedes guardar tus ajustes personalizados.Algo que me ha sorprendido para bien es que el montaje es sin herramientas, sólo hay que enroscar el tornillo de la base y luego se encaja directamente al monitor (tiene que hacer un click para que quede bien encajado).El manual de instrucciones si bien está en varios idiomas es tan inútil que casi podría decirse que no vale ni para reciclar.Actualizaré la opinion cuando lo haya testeado unos días y haya probado alguna funcionalidad más.Espero que al menos sirva para despejar dudas a quien le tuviera echado el ojo.
