The daily dosage is 500 mg. The effect was too strong and kicked in so fast that I couldn’t sleep, which was really hard. After taking it for a few days, my eyes became very yellow, so I looked into it more and found out how important it is to stick to the daily dosage. I’m leaving this here in case it might be helpful

I bake, and I work with heavy creams instead of fondant. I love making layered filled cakes, but my vegetarian friends cannot eat them because I usually use gelatin to stabilize my heavy creams and fruit creams. Sally, a YouTuber from Germany, is a young Turkish-German woman who does not eat certain meats. She always uses Agar Agar to stabilize her fruit plates (to freeze and then use with cakes whenever needed) and the heavy cream used for decorating the outside of the cakes. I think this should work just fine when I make birthday cakes for vegetarians. If people without dietary restrictions are the recipient of the cakes, I will turn back to stabilizing with gelatin, simply due to the higher cost of Agar Agar.

Apparently not pure, as it’s impossible to get a set Petri dish using standard agar recipes. Wasted 30 dishes thinking I did something wrong, this stuff is a runny mess @2%. Might be fine for cooking, but it doesn’t appear to be pure agar agar.

Works great! A wonderful alternative to gelatin which ultimately comes from pigs and other animals’ body parts (surprise!). I’ve been using it mixing it warm water to “glue” together bird seed in a ring which I hang outside horizontally for my feathery friends (would also make fantastic holiday gifts or craft sale items). A little goes a long way.
