40 Piece Professional Sketch Pencil Drawing Kit

This arts it is nice and comes in a cute case with all the supplies you would need for a beginner. The sketch pad is a joke though so obviously you have to get a real sketchpad. The one it comes with is like 5 x 7 super tiny. I guess that’s why they don’t put the dimensions anywhere in the description. I looked everywhere for it. I will just buy a separate sketch pad that is a normal size. It is a good starter kit though

I am artistically ungifted, but I am also the mother of a skilled artist. So for all the artist newbies (like myself!): H is harder and makes sharper, lighter lines as they don't leave as much graphite behind on the paper. B is for Black because they are softer and leave more graphite on the paper leaving darker (more black) marks behind.This set comes in a metal tin and is very versatile. This is a great set for the artist in your life.

*update I'm really loving how dark I can shade pictures now. The pencils feel great in my hand. No complaints here*-Disclaimer- This is my first sketch kit. I'm very inexperienced and I know next to nothing about drawing.Short version..I like it a lot and would buy it again even though I've yet to use one item in it! It's a new hobby and this kit is a major upgrade from the dollar store pencils I've been using.Long version..With that being said...I was slightly confused as to what I had purchased and when I first opened it these were some of my questions."What are charcoal rods, graphite rods, solid paper pens, willow branches, and chalk paint brushes? Why does my set have 39 pieces? Did they include the case as an item? The picture with what it "contains" has 40 pieces plus the case. How am I getting confused and what is going on?"This is what I've concluded in my search.Simply google or youtube what you don't know how to use. And lastly...-They messed up the description.-These are the two reasons why I say that.#1. It really has 39 pieces in the case and the case counts as 40. Their picture has two duplicate "black pastel pencil" ..but there is only one of them.#2. The description of what it contains is wrong as well. I am a slightly more than novice pencil artist. I've drawn a few pieces that sold, but I know my place in the art world, so I suspect there are much higher quality kits out there for much more money, but this kit is awesome for my level. It has everything the beginning to medium-level artist needs for getting your vision onto paper in mostly monochrome. It does has some colored graphite, but I can't say much about that as I don't yet use color in my art.Bottom line: EXTREMELY worth the money for beginning to intermediate artists. (May ever be great for advanced artists, but can only speak to my experience and I'm not there yet.) Would make a lovely gift for the artists in your life.

I needed to get a load of supplies for my college art class and this fulfilled the majority of the list! There’s the joke of artists getting the big pack of materials as a gift and it’s always poor quality— Not this though! All the materials are good quality, and plentiful :)
