Love this
It feels like really good quality, follows with ease I had to watch a YouTube video for instructions but once you get the hang of it nice bit of kit

Good for social media filming, bad for video chatting
It's a good gimbal for filming yourself and the face/body tracking works well for this purpose. However, if you want to use it (as I did) for face tracking when you are in a video chat with someone then it just doesn't work. That's because it takes the feed from your phones screen directly so when you are video chatting it doesn't know which face to track and so doesn't work for that scenario.

No More Patented ShakyCam
The media could not be loaded. I am not much of a photographer and I am certainly no film-maker, but I do on occasion do brief recordings of family events which usually end up looking like I've been taking them during an earthquake, so thought I might try this Aochuan gimbal stabiliser to see if that could improve things. The gimbal is relatively small and light, and is just larger than my hand when in its closed position. Opening it is simply a case of flipping the phone holder up. With the power off the phone holder just flops down and looks quite useless, but as soon as you switch the gimbal on it springs to life and rotates and holds the phone in place. The phone has a couple of buttons and a small joystick which is used for rotating the camera around. It's all very clever and works really rather well. The gimbal is powered by a rechargeable, and replaceable, 18650 lithium battery (think AA battery but bigger). As well as the main unit there is also a screw-in extension that can be used to place the gimbal on a flat surface. This will be most useful if you plan on doing any YouTube or TikTok videos as one of the button options on the device is for face tracking. Finally, there is a magnetic light that has a variety of lighting colours. It's all very technical and clever and I really rather like this gimbal though sadly it will still never make me the next Ridley Scott or Christopher Nolan (as you will see from the truly unexciting video clip I have attached that was made while using the gimbal), but it should make the family videos a bit more watchable.

Not good with iPhone 16 pro
I do not use my phone caseless and have Spigen Rugged Armor case on it which rather thin and does have grippy sides.Unfortunately, the phone pops out from the claw, not a secure fit.The shape of the claw also makes it awkward to find a good positioning for the phone for it not to press the volume buttons nor the new camera one…I’m quite gutted as the product seems very well made, all functionality works great and was looking forward on using it on all our excursions for a bit more of a professional shot with the extra stabilisation when rewatching in 20 years…I’m also not willing to use it without a case as the claw sides are a little curved and I don’t want the pressure against the phone directly and want a case to absorb it to even it out.So far only used over the bed to test features which are great, but can’t really use it when out and about which is of course the intended purpose unless I find some case that will work just to use this gimbal…If you have an iPhone without the new camera button then it will probably be a better fit. Not sure if it would fit the 16PM with a case at all.Iphone 16 models aren’t listed in the compatibility list in the ad, but I assume it’s because product was released before the phones and it also mentions that not all compatible models are listed.I think for a product of £££ value, the list should be maintained and explicitly state if it will fit with or only without a case.

AOCHUAN Gimbal Stabilizer for Smartphone
The media could not be loaded. Aochuan 3-axis stabilizer for phones - I like that is made of good quality plastic, feels sturdy and has good quality buttons.I like that it comes with a tripod stand. The back three modes filler light helps bringing to light elements that you don't capture when filming with the camera only.I wish it had a storage bag, allowing you to safely carry all the accessories and the gimbal. It's packed with features, my favourite one being the follow me options. Found it brilliant that it can also follow objects. So many camera options especially if you're using an iPhone. One thing I've noticed is that when using an android phone you won't get as many options for FPS you only get 30. That can depend on what phone you have. This had been the case with other gimbal manufacturers, it seems that always you get more options when using an iPhone. You need time to learn all the tricks and what all the buttons do but there's videos online and you also get a user manual.I love that the battery is easily replaceable and it doesn't get as hot as previous models.I definitely recommend!
