I purchased this fuel tank to allow me to store diesel fuel and pump it into my tractor when needed. Prior to this purchase, I used 5-gallon fuel cans to put diesel into my tractor. Although that worked, it was difficult because the cans needed to be lifted to chest height in order to allow fuel to be poured into the tractor. This is further complicated with the difficult to use nozzles on modern fuel cans. This fuel tank and pump, makes filling the tractor a much easier operation. Once assembled and filled, all that is needed is a 12v battery to power the pump. This could be the tractor battery, but I use a separate 12v battery that I have on hand. Once connected to the battery, you open the vent on the top of the tank, turn on the pump, and then it works just like the pumps at the gas station. This unit even includes an auto shutoff function that works well. One thing to keep in mind is that you'll need to have a way to move this tank when it's full if you ever plan to move it, because it weighs several hundred pounds. I take mine to the gas station to fill it, so I need to use a fork attachment on my tractor to remove it from my truck when I get home. When I received this unit, I found the build quality to be good, with the only issue being a bolt on the lid that was loose. This was an easy fix and only required the appropriate size allen wrench to tighten it. Assembly was simple and only required the hose to be attached to the pump and the nozzle to be attached to the hose. After filling the tank, I used my tractor to move it to where I wanted to use it. When it came time to refill my tractor, I opened the lid, connected to the battery, opened the fill hole, opened the vent, turned on the pump, and pumped a few gallons of fuel right back into the storage tank. This was to purge the hose and get most of the air out of the system. I then put the filler lid back on, and started pumping fuel into my tractor. When it was full, the auto-shutoff stopped the fuel flow. After filling the tank, I turned off the pump, stowed the nozzle in it's built-in holder, closed the vent, and disconnected the battery. Although this unit does seem somewhat expensive, I believe it is a great value. It saves both time and frustration when filling my tractor, and might possibly also help prevent both spills and injuries. I recommend it for those experiencing frustration with fuel cans like I was!

This is a great item and easy to use. It carries 49 gallons not 52 but other than that, it was as advertised. I'd recommend it. The value was well worth it and is easy to transport and is durable.

Everything is good. Make sure you tape the joints up well. Only problem no filter, had to attach one.

Works great

I bought this tank four months ago. We had been pretty happy with this fuel tank… However, the pump has now stopped working after only three or four fills of the tank. This pump didn’t even last 200 gallons. I am now trying to find out how to get a replacement pump. I’ll update my review when I figure that out.

Great tank other than the electrical cord to attach to your battery (if you plan to use in the back of your truck) isn’t long enough to reach the battery while sitting in your truck bed. If they added another 5’ to the alligator cords this product would be perfect.
