Great Socks, Batman!
Hello crime fighters. You'd better believe this isn't my first pair of wide leg diabetic socks, so this review comes with some relative experience. I'm a six foot three and a half, size 13.5 shoes, wide foot, 450 pound diabetic with mild edema. Thirty some years ago in football, I was nicknamed "Tree" because, even skinny, my legs have always been as thickly muscled as two oak tree trunks. And these size 11-16 socks fit me just right. They are comfortable, they stay up and they are well made. There's none of this hog wash about having to pull the socks on so tight that you rip them trying to get the heel in the right place. It's a perfect fit naturally for my foot. I just got up and my calves are twenty-inches before they have started to swell. So that should give you some idea as to who these will fit. They are not loose or tight, I can barely feel them touching my skin, yet they have at least four-inches of give left were my legs bigger. I've been through two-dozen pairs of competitor's socks in the last three months. They all just fall apart on me. These are the only ones that look and feel as though they are made to last. I wear socks, no slippers or shoes all day long and these have been through four or five washings so far and they show no signs of wear nor of graying--they are still pristine white after washing. Most socks are stained by now. Yesterday, my wife spilled blueberries and I staggered all over them, smashing them everywhere, but they didn't stain the socks at all. Socks advertised as calf-length usually come up to my ankle but not over my calves. I was surprised how tall these socks are, they come up about three quarters of the way over my calves. At first that worried me, but even after a full day, these socks are so light fitting that they did not make my hairy calves itch or apply any pressure to them. It's really enjoyable to have a nice fitting tall sock for a change that fits over my calves, I've never had one in my entire life, until now. I usually just end up using ankle length socks, so this is a pleasant change. Now I'll put a sock in it and let's get back to crime fighting, Holy underwear Batman! P.S. They stay up all day without readjusting and with most socks I end up with the heel on the top of my foot eventually, but these socks have never twisted on me. Oh, and shipping was fast, I ordered the slow delivery and they were here in three days. The only weird thing was, I ordered six socks and they sent them in a box big enough to hold fifteen or so. (Waste really bothers me, even though I didn't pay shipping.) Warning: the socks come with a tiny plastic tie needled through them, that is deceptively strong. Cut it, don't try to break it, because it might start a tiny hole in your new socks. Even though these socks are very strong compared to others, you have to be very gentle with diabetic socks of all brands. Update 5/11/13(Saturday): I just ordered some more of these socks to replace the losses of other brands of socks in my sock armada. Buying some in lovely "nerd white" and some in "dress nerd black". It's been three months since my first order, wearing each pair of socks once per week, they still look and feel like brand new! You know how socks always get thinner as you wear them--not these. No graying, no stains, they come out pristine white every wash. No holes, not even a loose thread or odd bulge. No dryer MIA's as of yet. I continue to wear socks and no shoes all day long, so my socks really get the wear and are holding up flawlessly. One day, one sock did get twisted after seeing heavy action, but otherwise socks stay the way I have put them on perfectly--not one has ever fallen down or become loose and floppy. I have never had a sock mark on my legs at the end of the day, nor has my skin or leg hairs ever itched while wearing these socks (I'm a manly man, I don't shave my legs anything except just under my eyelids and my neck so nobody shoots me, thinking they bagged a Sasquatch--maybe that's too much information; still, there are a lot of Big Foot sightings in my neighborhood every time I leave the cave). I'm fantasizing about throwing the rest of my socks away, they're all a pain in some way or another, but I just don't know if I can let go. Update 6/6/2013: I've decided I'm going to do it. I'm going to throw all my other socks away today. The second order of socks came some weeks ago, it took around a week to arrive. They are just like before. The black socks are a rich, vibrant, black color. They've been through a couple of washes and the color has held up just like new so far. No sign of graying on the first order so far. I compared the new ones to the old ones and they look the same color and size and so forth. A very tiny hole hole showed up on one of my first order of socks, I must have snagged it, but I don't remember. It doesn't seem to be growing or unraveling though, so it's pretty much contained. Other than that, they are still like new--most socks would be getting worn out by now, as I wear them all day without shoes. The last brand of socks I bought, I had thrown away about two dozen pairs by this time. So these socks are really paying off. I'm just so happy with them. Why the hell else would anyone keep updating you on their socks? It's just, I've been a victim of sock abuse for so long.

Best socks for Flintstone feet
Fantastic!! If you have Fred Flintstone calves and feet like I do, thos are the socks for you. Comfortable, plus your legs dont look like polish sausage after you remove the sock because of constriction. Highly recommend.

Pros and Cons but a comfortable sock
I have chemotherapy induced neuropathy in one foot. In addition to pain, zapping, swelling and prickliness I have micro-sensitivity in my foot. Wearing a sock is agony if it is too tight. I can feel every thread of the sock on my foot and when I take the sock off it is imprinted on my foot. I am constantly searching for a soft loose sock. PRO: These socks are softer than most and I bought a size larger so they are like knee socks. They stretch nicely. The larger size gives me plenty of room and they are not too tight. So far, the micro-sensitivity has been reduced to a more manageable level. CON: Concern about quality and wear. There is a ridge of stitching on the outside of the toe but with the swelling in my foot I will not be able to wear a shoe which would press down on the stitching and make it unbearable. I definitely will not be able to wear these with my brace for the same reason. The finish of the sock upper is limited. There is only one line of elastic to hold it together. Lose the elastic and these will be slouch socks. The photo also shows loose threading at the top that was not clipped properly and may end up being the thread that pulls. A softer, decent sock that I can wear in the house with some comfort.

HUGE socks that make my lymphadema feet happy. I have Stage 2 lymphedema and my feet ...
Lovely, soft, HUGE socks that make my lymphadema feet happy. I have Stage 2 lymphedema and my feet are pretty huge. These socks are plenty big for my feet yet don't slide or slip down. The cuffs are snug without biting into my legs and I love that the seam is on the outside. Even before I had lymphedema, I routinely turned my socks inside-out so I wouldn't have the toe seam irritating my toes, how nice that these socks already save me the trouble! They wash beautifully and I have run them through the dryer with no shrinkage when I haven't had time to hang them outside. I've been wearing them regularly for a few months now and they are holding up very well. One factor that featured in my decision to buy these socks - I asked a question here on Amazon about the socks and the seller replied quickly and with accurate information. That tipped it in their favor and I've not been disappointed with my purchases. I am completely in love with these socks, in fact this last order was my second order and I intend to buy more. I have the mixed pairs (black, blue and brown) and the three sets of blue. Next I'll be buying the white. As long as they keep making these socks, they'll have a loyal customer! Pros: roomy - stretch beautifully over my swollen feet and ankles soft!! (soft as 100% cotton socks) lovely cuffs that don't dig into my calves toe seams on the outside don't slip or slide down plenty big enough for those of us with lymphedema or extremely swollen feet and ankles perfect weight - thin enough to wear with shoes but still have lots of cushion Cons: Limited colors - I would love to see some bright or pastel options they are a little pricey (but hold up well for the price)

THESE ARE VERY WELL MADE AND STAY UP WHEN YOU WEAR THEM
I have diabetis and my legs swell up. So bad I have to lay with my feet propped up to let the swelling go down. I love these socks as they are very thick and durable and hold up well. There are alot of socks made for diabetics and most of those are trash socks. These are very economical and they hold up in the wash. I did have trouble with one sock that had a long thread that wouldnt stop pulling out but other then that these socks are really good. They are comfortable and thick so if your feet swell like mine (lumps on the bottom of your feet) these socks are great for that. They make my life a whole lot easier. You dont want to start cussing up a storm when you buy those cheap socks from other places and they turn out to be the ones that are too small or one sock is not made the same diameter as the others. These are the best socks out there I think. If you buy at least six pair they will last you a long time. You know how it is when you buy anything for a medical condition , you end up paying triple and alot of times the quality just isnt there and neither is your money!~ i HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE.

Good fit, soft, comfy
Who knew that socks could be sized this way? Wonderful for older folks who might struggle to put on snugger socks, too.
