A nice fully featured vest, but sizing is tricky.
I bought two vests from Scottevest - a Fireside fleece, and this 101 vest. I'm 5'11", 175 lbs, with a 35" waist. The recommended large fleece vest was a good fit - loose, but not too loose. The large 101 however fit like a tent. I ended up exchanging it for a medium, which is a much better fit for me. I had the chance to try on the RFID vest at a local store, and it fits more like this 101 vest.I actually ended up returning the vest I bought on Amazon. Scottevest offers various promotion codes, so it's usually worth buying on their website, as long as you don't need 2 day delivery. If you don't have a code, try Wikibuy. I had a code good for 25% off, but Wikibuy also had one that was good for 20%.All that said, this is going to be a great travel vest. The RFID is probably better if you really plan to load your vest, but I'm mostly interested in safely carrying my basic travel documents and cards. I got the 101 because most of the other models seemed to be having zipper issues. This 101 was the highest rated on Amazon, and I liked the idea of the cotton/poly exterior fabric. The zippers on the outside are large and work well. The two inside zippers also seem good, especially the bigger zipper on the inside left ID pocket. The zipper on the pad pocket is fine, but not quite as smooth.Since it is a cotton poly blend, I assumed the 101 would not be particularly waterproof, but I got caught in an unexpected shower, and the water beaded right up. An unexpected surprise.

Traveler's Friend
"Only" nine pockets means more practical than the many-pocketed ScotteVest I bought a few years ago. Have worn this one on eight flights recently with gratitude. The zippers are now sturdily made. The material is sturdier, too. I will hand wash and dry it to prevent the damage I did the older one by incautious machine drying. Like any vest it traps some body heat so I often carry it on my arm in an airport, in summer, and don it just before boarding.

Broken metal zippers
I ordered this jakect for my b-day in september. When i got it it was intact but a month later the key ring broke and then last weekend the zippers broke off. Normaly i would be calm but this jacket cost my 100$ and i thought that this combamny had their products as good quality. They scotte vest is a great product but has poor metal parts on the jaket. I am very dissapointed and I warn anyone for getting this jacket for everyday use or even at all.

Girls, you'll never have to put his s**t in your purse again.
After too many times of my boyfriend saying his pants kept on falling down because he had too much stuff in his pockets, we determined that he needed suspenders. When he complained that his shoulders were sore from the suspenders, we got him a Paqlite "mandolier" (also available from Amazon) and when that disintegrated from use, replaced it with another. Then "winter" descended in Florida, and the temperature "plummeted" to below 50 degrees, necessitating several layers of sweatshirts to keep him comfortable. My boyfriend's daughter suggested killing two birds with one stone by moving all his necessities into an article of clothing with lots of pockets, like a travel vest. Et voila! we discovered the SCOTTeVEST. Now his is never without ... whatever he schleps around all the time ... and has an extra layer of warmth to boot. Thank you SCOTTeVEST!

CHEAP GARBAGE, don’t be fooled
This vest is garbage, I purchased it hoping to alleviate the bulging pockets of my pants, but it is of such bad quality. The inside is falling apart, the neck fabric is fraying, and while the pockets are helpful, the design makes you look quite large even when using just some of the pockets. It does not wash well and already looks like I have had this vest for years when it has only been in use for 2 months. The plastic zippers also always catch on the liner fabric (which is only in the front) and the zippers are fussy at best. Simply a waste of money and I wish I could return it. Please look at other options like craghoppers or Columbia vests.

A massive disappointment
On the recommendation of friends, I decided to step up to an eVest for carrying essentials. It seemed that each price point of the eVest line is an increase in the number of pockets, but I thought that the model #101 seemed to cover all I needed. I does look better and have better construction than any travel vest I've seen, but it doesn't have what I consider 9 functional pockets. It does not have a good pocket for a cell phone, or wallet or billfold, and the sunglasses pocket is way too big with a built in stick that can scratch the lenses. How the eVest claims 9 pockets is a study in deception. And to use the 5 main massive pockets as designated would result in very uncomfortable bulges at the chest and just below the waist.Okay, by the numbers---!1-2: the upper outside pockets are massive, running all the way back to the arm seams, with a section running under the armpits. If I put my phone or anything in there, I'd have trouble digging in out -- remember, everything will drop to the bottom of a pocket, giving a bulging look. The right side is designated as "sunglasses pocket," with a long flexible plastic arm glued/sewn into the pocket itself, with an unmovable (uncleanable) eyeglass cloth stuck at the end in a non-functional way.3-4: Hand warmer outside pockets are similarly massive. In the back end of the left one is a tiny space they consider a coin pocket, too small to hold more than a few quarters, and closed with Velcro that takes two hands to open (and remember, you can't get two hands into a side pocket while wearing it). On the right side is a removable leash that can connect to your keys, which puts them, and the RFID signal from your vehicle keys right in front of your tablet if you use pocket 5 as manufacturer intended.5: On the right inside is a zipper pocket large enough to hold an iPad pro and keyboard, for anyone who thinks it would be a good idea to carry a large tablet in a vest and then expect to be able to sit down in a car or airplane. The space above this pocket is blank, which I thought was a good place for a phone pocket. (I kept scratching at the fabric thinking there was a pocket there that I was missing.)6-7: left inside is a zipper pocket the correct size for a US passport if placed in there sideways, but it is too short to also contain any of the forms you fill out and hold with your passport as you go through border control of any country. Right in from of that pocket is a Velcro-closed pocket with a clear plastic front that is supposed to hold ID cards, but it is tighter than the spot for my driver's license in my wallet. I guess it is good if someone wants to see your ID and you can just flash the open pocket. Car registration, credit cards, other documents have to go elsewhere, like your pants or another bag. That means you'll need a wallet to hold the ID cards, which means you don't need an ID pocket. But without a good inside pocket for a wallet, it would be safer in your front pants pocket, which takes another step away from why I want a travel vest.8: Just inside the vest, to the left of the zipper, is a narrow pocket designated for a pen, or maybe to pens if they are thin enough, though it causes an uncomfortable bulge if you try to close the vest.9: Only if you count the too-tiny impossible-to-access coin pocket.I still need a light weight summer travel vest. This one was a big disappointment. I'm returning it and looking for something else.
