Smooth Ceylon cinnamon for daily coffee with level 1 evidence showing modest A1c improvements
I use this Ceylon cinnamon daily about 1–2 teaspoons in coffee and it’s excellent. The flavor is smooth (not harsh) and it mixes well. The 2-lb bag is a good value if you use cinnamon regularly. Why I chose it: I’m not diabetic, but I’d like to stay that way. There’s Level-1 evidence (randomized, controlled human trials summarized in systematic reviews/meta-analyses) showing cinnamon supplementation produces modest improvements in blood-sugar markers, including hemoglobin A1c, in people with type 2 diabetes. Results vary by dose and duration, so I treat this as a small “stack the odds” habit alongside the basics (diet, exercise, sleep) not a magic fix. I specifically wanted Ceylon (“true”) cinnamon for regular use because it’s very low in coumarin compared with cassia. That’s the common safety recommendation for people who use cinnamon frequently. If you want an easy daily add-in for coffee/oats/yogurt and prefer Ceylon, this is a solid buy.

perfect for smoothies, oatmeal, or baking
I chose Ceylon cinnamon after researching the difference between it and regular cassia cinnamon, and this one has become my go-to. The flavor is mild, slightly sweet, and beautifully aromatic, perfect for smoothies, oatmeal, or baking. I appreciate that it’s organic and finely ground, making it easy to mix without clumping. A high-quality, authentic Ceylon cinnamon that adds great flavor and peace of mind for everyday use.

Weak smell of cinnamon and grainy texture
I'm not happy that I cannot return this nasty stuff. It has literally a minute amount of cinnamon flavor and is also very grainy. It did not dissolve in my tea like other Ceylon Cinnamon does. What a waste of money and hopefully I won't die of whatever it was I ingested this morning. Buyer beware! Update: I'm changing my review from 1 star to 4 because of their excellent customer service. They reached out to me after seeing my review and were willing to look into the situation with their processing and they fully refunded my money with a smile. Even though the cinnamon was not useful to me, they did right by me and I appreciate that.

2lb. Ceylon cinnamon
Great brand, great taste. A little goes a long way. Finely ground, smells amazing, and fresh. Goes great in protein shakes and mixes well with other flavors. Highly recommend.

Good flavor but makes superstrong clumps in my latte
UPDATE: Lowered to 1-star 10/31/23. Should have updated sooner. Compared to other 1-star reviews, color and texture fine, never tasted remotely like cassia. However, flavor of powder quickly faded to the point of nonexistence. HUGE problem with not dissolving! I actually bought a set of long iced tea spoons so I could try to mix. (Previous, discontinued cinnamon would dissolve just by swirling cup.). STILL WILL NOT DISSOLVE!! I vigorously stir for extended period of time and there are ALWAYS MULTIPLE clumps stuck to the spoon and floating at the top of the HOT latte. Some nasty mouthfuls of dry unpleasant cinnamon. Will NEVER buy again! NOTHING to enjoy. **************************** I love cinnamon and use in daily in my latte. That's where this cinnamon runs into trouble. I need to use Ceylon cinnamon because, with the amount I use (about 1 teaspoon) cassia cinnamon is toxic. For years I was using Burma Spice cinnamon (ordered here on Amazon) but they seem to have stopped selling it. :-( Previous to using Burma Spice, I'd tried two others which were essentially flavorless. So, now I tried this. On the positive side, this has a pleasant aroma and taste but is deeply disappointing for my purpose. It is more powdery than Burma Spice, which I thought I would like, but it has major problems in dissolving into my latte. At first, almost the whole teaspoonful of cinnamon remained dry under a, for lack of a better word, carapace formed when the hot espresso melted the outer layer keeping the inner globule from mixing with liquid. Even stabbing it with a straw didn't budge it. I drank the latte without the cinnamon flavor and had to use a sharp knife to break through this "carapace." Now, I vigorously and repeatedly swirl the liquid but still face problems. I have it down to about 1/2 teaspoon sealed off, but had the reach into the tumbler when washing it and scrape it with my fingernail to dislodge it--my excellent bottle brush didn't budge it. Today (as often before) a few smaller encapsulated globules rose to the top and when I begin drinking, I get a mouthful of dry cinnamon. Ugh. If I could surmount this problem, I would rate this with 4 or 5 stars, but this problem defeats my purpose in using cinnamon at all, let alone the extra expense of Ceylon. If anyone has suggestions as to how to overcome this issue, I would be deeply grateful In the meantime, be forewarned.
