Amazing! Awesome! Wonderful! Great for large chalk, furniture and house paint brushes
Amazing! The first thing to know is I paint furniture so use larger and much thicker paintbrushes than those used in other reviews (chalk paint and thick Zibra brushes mainly - these brushes are 1"+ thick & 2" or more wide) . I use chalk, acrylic, and latex paints and polyurethanes.I've used a variety of other brush cleaners and they've all left a bit to be desired - some more so than others. It irritates me when the white bristles of my Zibra & other brushes are stained the color of the paint I've used because that means there's still paint in the brushes. Other cleaners require soaking the brush to deep clean which isn't great for the bristles and a bit of paint still remains anyway, especially deep inside the brush, even after much scrubbing of the bristles. I bought the 24 oz tub of The Masters Cleaner and am amazed! I did the deeper cleaning method on my chalk paint and thick Zibra brushes first and the bristles came out white again!! It took much less scrubbing. I now spend 1/4 the amount of time cleaning brushes after my daily painting marathons and my brushes come out much cleaner. The best part is that after using The Masters once, the paint no longer adheres to the bristles nearly as much making the cleaning so much easier and the paint releases beautifully the next time I paint without clugging up in the brush. A good rinse makes them as clean as scrubbing when using other products! I still go ahead and clean them with The Masters, of course, leaving a bit in the brush to shape the bristles. I love that I no longer have those 3 or 4 stray bristles sticking out and marring my paint lines. Plus, since you can leave some of the product in the bristles to shape and condition your brushes, I know longer have to worry about completely getting the product out when rinsing - which has been a chore in the past. I just rinse until it runs clear at the ferrule and I can no longer see product in my brush then I apply the appropriate amount for shaping and conditioning. I did think it was a bit on the expensive side but the 24 ounces will last forever and the time and brushes it saves me makes it extremely cost effective. It smells wonderful, too! Perfect. My favorite Amazon purchase ever and that says a lot!

Excellent Product
Forty years of use has continuously proven that The Masters Brush Cleaner and Preserver is a versatile product. The tub form is ideal for cleaning larger brushes, while the bar form is convenient for spot cleaning and touch-ups. This product helps to extend the life of our brushes by removing paint, oil, and other media, while also conditioning the bristles to maintain their shape and softness.

This is GREAT
This has brought life back to a couple of my brushes I let get hard. It really helps to clean and shape my artist paint brushes ... wish I knew about this a year ago when I started painting. I bought the bigger tub size it is much cheaper that way - I plan to put some into a smaller portable plastic jar or something. 5-stars

Lovely soap
I use this on my horse hair shoe brushes. It's tough on the polish and gunk without being harsh on the bristles. I've been testing it to see if it can help me restore vintage shoe brushes and it's been such a life saver! Really does what it says, conditions and cleans without drying everything out. I love this stuff and it'll be a long time before I run out but if I do you can bet I will be back!

Saves my brushes every time
My go-to each time my brushes need to be washed. I even bought these for my classroom, saves my brushes every time. My students are addicted to cleaning the brushes with this conditioner now. The are amazed at how well it keeps the brushes in good condition.

Excellent brush cleaner!
I have a 3-part setup for cleaning my brushes in my studio, and this soap is always the second step. I use three 5-gallon buckets with 3.5 gallons of water in each bucket. The first is the slop bucket, and has a combination of dawn dish soap and cheap hair conditioner in it—the dawn soap is good for cleaning the paint off my brushes, and here the conditioner is actually primarily for keeping my skin from getting too dry from washing my brushes constantly. The second bucket starts with clean water, and after cleaning my brushes in the first bucket, I soap them up with the Master’s soap that I keep in a dish on long pegboard hooks above my was station, and then wash the soapy brushes off in the second bucket, then I give them a final rinse in the third bucket of clean water. When the third bucket starts to get cloudy (usually towards the end of my work day), I know it’s time to change out the water. I work in acrylics, but it works equally well for oil with Murphy’s oil soap in the first bucket. Whether I’m working with oils or acrylics, this soap is great for cleaning my brushes, and the conditioner in it keeps them in their best working order. From time to time, I’ll skip washing the brushes out in the second and third buckets, and leave the soap on the bristles to condition them and help them to regain or retain their shape. It works well for this. I have also used it to help break down paint in dried paintbrushes. It’s ok for this purpose, but Murphy’s oil soap works better.Sorry for the potato quality of the picture, but hopefully it helps to clarify my description above.P.S. After cleaning your brushes, always let them dry bristles down!
