Amazing customer service
This is my second Eufy baby monitor that we have had in the last 2 years. Our original one (the older model) began to lose connection so I decided I wanted to upgrade to the WiFi model. The picture quality is excellent and the screen size is perfect. To my disappointment, the camera did start to lose connection and would only reconnect if I would go in to my son’s room and power the camera on and off (similar to other reviews), After dealing with this issue for a couple weeks I reached out to their customer service to request a replacement. They were extremely understanding and had a replacement to me the following day and provided a return label for the camera that was disconnecting. The replacement was disconnecting almost immediately so I was obviously very irritated at this point and requested a refund. Their customer service was very responsive and apologetic and was willing to refund me and take back both cameras. Luckily before I returned the camera there was an update that came out to fix bugs and connection issues. Since that update we have not lost connection one time. I contacted customer service again with an update and they were happy that it was now working and want to review the camera that was malfunctioning to find the root of the issue to make quality improvements. I was ready to leave this brand but because of their customer service and their ability to acknowledge the issues and wanting to make improvements, I will remain a Eufy customer for all of my baby monitor needs.

Very pleased with this system
This is an excellent product in every way. Here I compare and contrast it to the “Babysense 5.5” 1080p Full HD Split-Screen Baby Monitor, Video Baby Monitor with 2 Cameras and Audio, 6-Color RGB Night Light, 1000ft Range, Two-Way Audio, 4X Zoom, 5000mAh Battery,” which I bought first but am returning. One principal difference is that the eufy is Wi-Fi enabled and the Babysense isn’t. I’m using a two-camera eufy set-up to monitor a kitten nursery, and it’s great to be able to see and hear what’s going on from inside the app, anywhere I have cell or internet service. The app also lets you invite people to look and listen, which is fun. It’s very well done, offering all the controls (and even more) than the supplied monitor. The eufy offers a sharper image and better color rendition, especially in low light. Night-vision is sharper too – very crisp. Everything looks better on the iPhone than the supplied monitor, but the monitor isn’t bad at all. The two monitors are pretty similar in terms of size, appearance and features. Only the eufy allows cameras to be used for nine hours in daylight and five hours of night vision without AC power, which might be useful for trips, but for 24/7 monitoring it’s best to have them plugged in. It’s dangerous to have cords that cats can chew on, but I think the power is stepped down. In any case, I bought plastic spiral cable wrap to enclose them. Focus is better with the eufy. Both brands’ cameras have standard tripod mounts, which is great. There’s a longer lag time between audio and video with the eufy, but it’s livable. Note that in the eufy, if you take a screenshot in Wi-Fi mode, the icon confusingly is a scissors, and that even if you’re zoomed in, the image won’t be. The “baby-seeking” feature of eufy is confusing and seems to work only intermittently. Eufy has four levels of zoom, vs. only three for Babysense. Color-keyed LED scale on Babysense monitor lets you watch for loud sounds rather than having to hear them. The eufy comes with only one camera, vs. the Babysene’s two. An extra eufy camera is $100, but to me it’s worthwhile. Happy to answer any questions.

Mostly pros, relatively few cons
After a broad search, we settled on this particular baby monitor with some hesitation due to the mixed reviews. After 3 months of use, we have had a largely positive experience (understanding that some of the complaints seem to rise with time). The basic feature largely works well--watching our baby via the display which automatically connects to the camera probably 98% of the time. 2% of the time the display and/or camera need to be restarted but we have never had any issues after a restart. The display has many settings including sleep times and customizable alerts. It can be used to play sounds (semi white noise) and also for two-way communication. FYI there is around a 1.5 second lag from real-time to the display. There is a wifi switch that allows us to keep an eye on things on our phones when one of us is out of the house. That seems to work about 75% of the time in the app but is clearly less reliable than using the display locally. The display does not have any real remote capability--it is only for local use. The battery life on the display varies significantly with how long the screen is on but in an audio only mode seems to last for an entire day. The camera's battery is much shorter and we found it lasts around 4-5 hours. On the whole, we have had a good experience and we would get this again. Will update review if issues arise.

Defective product.
If I could give it zero stars I would. The monitor stops working all the time. Three dots appear like the video is buffering and the screen freezes. There is no indication that it’s about to stop working. So in the night, you can’t actually monitor your baby. You wake up, the screen is frozen, and when you reset it, your baby is up and awake. You have no idea when they woke up or if they needed you in the night. Biggest baby purchase regret.

No RTSP support even though official website says otherwise
Updated on 1/28 as Eufy provided great customer service after I complained. Original review: ---- Pros - Overall functioning well - Image is clear Cons - No RTSP support, even though official website claims to have it, and the Eufy Baby app also has the option. It just doesn’t connect (my other 3 normal Eufy camera works fine). - Night vision light is visible in the dark though not bright. In some other baby cameras they use 940nm infrared which has less glow.

So impressed with how well this is working. Great video quality, battery life and features. Temperature readings and noise alerts are great. Love that it’s both battery and wall socket powered. Exactly what we needed. Would recommend to anyone with a newborn.

I gave this baby monitor a one-star rating, and that star is solely for its style... The Eufy E20 2K feels premium from the moment you unbox it. The build is sturdy, the buttons offer nice tactile feedback, and the infrared light is so subtle at night it's barely noticeable—which is great for a sleeping baby. The camera itself looks fantastic in any setup. The companion app is also packed with genuinely useful features. I especially appreciated the baby cry alerts and the automatic recording of the event during those moments. It’s comforting to not only be notified but to be able to watch what happened. However, these strengths are completely overshadowed by a glaring flaw: the camera constantly gets stuck, refusing to pan or tilt. The error message “gimbal reaches its limit” appears even when the camera hasn’t moved. I’ve restarted the device multiple times a day just to regain movement, and even a factory reset didn’t solve the problem—it inevitably comes back. At this point, the camera has become essentially useless. A baby monitor that can't be repositioned loses its core functionality. Stylish? Absolutely. Reliable? Sadly, no. For a product that promises peace of mind, this one delivers more frustration than comfort.
