Strong, Smooth, and Full of Flavor A True Wake-Up Coffee
I’ve tried a lot of dark roasts over the years, but Death Wish Coffee really lives up to its name this stuff is bold! From the moment you open the bag, the aroma hits you rich, earthy, and powerful. You can tell right away it’s made from quality beans. The flavor is intense but surprisingly smooth. It’s not bitter like some strong coffees can be. You get that deep, full bodied taste with just the right amount of kick. It’s perfect for early mornings when I need real energy, and it keeps me focused without giving me the jittery feeling some coffees do.

Great coffee - great sale price!
Bought this on a fabulous pre-Christmas sale. Very good, fresh, and strong flavor and aroma - just what I was looking for. Not the strongest I've had but much stronger and flavorful than usual bagged coffee.

Life is fine with a Cup of Sunshine
Awsome coffee that opens the mind, expands the imagination and warms the soul for the journey ahead,,,I have had many different coffees,From Foldgers,Maxwell House, many instant brands, during all different temperatures during the seasons. When I ran into the Death Wish Blend,I noticed it was made of Beans and not roots or elephant of monkey poops. And as winter had approached I was in search of the perfect blend to sooth the conditions.Having no clue what it was about,,and being the strongest,I thought that a bag of this stuff might be a lot of bang for the Buck.So I Deffinatly agreed that this was the Caffeen of my choice,,and with winter rolling in quick I made the choice to Purchase this Stuff. When it arrived in just a few days after the order.,It was cold and I was tempted to sample the product.I prepared it with a simple coffee machine,,not expresso,.With the snow falling in flurries and the winds making the chills that sends shivers,I procedes to top off my cup for the first it,,,totally unaware of the consequences,,But very anxious to sample the goods. No sugar,no creamer, just straight Black coffee in my Hand granade cup.Upon the first contact,,I was absolutely impressed with the contents which seem to warm, satisfy my body's elements which was surrounded by conditions of True Blue Winter Time.I really enjoyed the moment as I was snowed in with no way out,but had plenty of coffee to last through the Storm of ice and snow.It delivered the warmth of comfort, the Caffeen to occupy the train of thoughts, and the satisfactions of knowing that I had my hands around a true cup of Coffee. The aroma which sifted the outside air as as the snow was falling,,was different that most brands, but was better, and lots smoother as the brew continued to roam the area with the smell of a fine product.I was very impressed with the decision of choosing Death Wish,,As the flurries piled up and the drifts formed,i was completely satisfied with the way that the day was conqured,The very next morning,,I gathered snow and melted it down and made a freashing pot out of the frozen precipation that made the lands resemble a wander land.Being totally impressed with the consumptions of the Skull and Bones. It sure made the frozen territory seem as if it was un chartered, and after the product warmed my innards,It was time to set sail over the untouched plains to explore the evidence of tracks which indicated the creatures that roamed the area.It was a different kind of Kick,,,most brands makes the shakes, and cold sweats, with jitters of crash,,,But Very Impressingly after many hours of consumptions over times and conditions of frozen elements,,I had no problems dealing with what Mother Nature had delivered at the right time..I have recommended to others,But as of now I have been out of the blend for a while now,and really looking forward to getting more soon,,There are other flavors that I would be willing to try out and Experiance.Out of all different kinds of cup kix Iv had over the years,,I will honestly admit,,This brand is by far the Best yet,,No crash,no jitters, and not only opens mind of thought and focuse that is clearly advanced.,I souly enjoyed the times with the Death Wish Product,,when I went out on the road to take care of some buisness,,it was one of the first Items packed..To each and all that has involvement. To this ,,,just want to congratulated from the bean pickers,Gatheres,Roasters, and grinders. Its and Awsome way to stay revived during long trips, and very proud to be able to have had spent quality time with the Jolly Roger,,,But to clear the air of the Bang in a Bag,,It was a gamble when ordered,,and Upon arrival, first cup, first sip,,to the last drop,,,,I'm a very satisfied customer that is looking forward to getting more and checking out other blends as well.,In the new future The blend of Valhalla seems to have great ratings, and be willing to not only try but stock up on the whack n the Sack,,,,I'm not an every day coffee drinker, but when I do,,I choose the best,,,Thank you for such an Unblievable morning charge, that taste great, smooth sipping,,Not bitter, and satisfying ,Truely impressed and will be getting in contact to re up,,,And want to be stocked up before fall..It's truly amazing and can't wait to Experiance the excitement of the joe again soon,,and any other flavors that y'all have out on the market,,.At daylight a steaming cup of this joe,,let's one know that the day is gonna be just Fine,,But with a Wish and a Prayer,,It would be life Changing to enjoy a Steamer while sharing stories and sipping on cup of Good Stuff with,,,Sunshine,Bless....Looking forward to doing more buisness soon..Very satisfied customer that will spread word of the Bean,,,it's all love for the Bean..

Great coffee!
This stuff is strong and tastes great! I'm active duty military, and I wake up between 3:30-4AM. For the money, it's the strongest. You save money drinking 2 of these instead of 4 cups of Starbucks, that's for sure.

Despite the Hype - Good Coffee
I posted a 5 star review for this coffee the day I purchased it, however, on reflection, I decided to start over. Good marketing - Oh yes. World's "strongest" coffee? Well, that depends on the definition of "strong". If they mean bold, I disagree. It is a bold coffee, but certainly not the boldest. It is certainly a good tasting coffee and, as many people are saying, it is a very smooth coffee. I am not a fan of Starbucks coffee at all; haven't had any in years. However, when I did try it, it was very strong/bold, but not very tasty. (I drink coffee black, so I taste only coffee). Strong and bold mean nothing if they quality of taste isn't there. This is a tasty coffee in my opinion. However, in the four or so days since I've been drinking it, I find myself upping the amount of grinds for more boldness. In my book, this is not even close to the world's boldest coffee - but that's not what they are claiming. Now, on to the caffeine. Does it contain twice the amount of caffeine of the average coffee? I don't know and I can't test that. I do know that it does, indeed, contain caffeine or I would have a daily headache if it didn't. I also know that I feel no discernible difference in it than any other coffee I drink. Reading reviews here, I think many, many people have been taken in by the marketing of 200% more caffeine. So, in a nutshell, yes it's good, smooth, bold coffee, better than average, but not the strongest or boldest. It is no more apt to give you energy or the jitters than any other coffee barring decaf (a big ol' waste of beans that stuff is!) Would I buy it again for $20/pound? I wouldn't, but a member of my family likes it so we'll keep a bag around for now and see how it plays out. I would rather they omitted the slick black box and the advertising sticker and priced it lower. I hope it tastes good to you. Update: June, 2016: Death Wish has been all but forgotten by the family. When we ran out, nobody begged for more. I wish them luck, but I guess we won't continue drinking it.. Again...good coffee, but not great.

Awesome Coffee; Awesome Price!
Oh, yes! This is the brand on the top shelf of my grocery store, going for $18-$24 a bag! I was thrilled to see it on Amazon for a reasonable price, and it is some of the best I've ever had. I love a smooth dark roast, and this is both smooth and flavorful.

Wonderful
TL;DR: Death Wish Coffee is good. So my sleep habits are not a mystery to anyone. I average about 4-4.5 hours of actual sleep a night (as opposed to just laying in bed thinking about everything, like math because I do that). Needless to say, I drag in the mornings. Enter Death Wish Coffee. I should note that I have tried this before, but it was at a bar and I was already a couple drinks in. It ships in a bag, inside a box, inside another box. Upon arrival I could smell it through the exterior box. The smell is strong but delightful, and I could tell it was going to be an experience. Comparing it to “regular” coffee is hardly fair. The aroma is stronger, the color richer, and quite a bit darker. Like. REALLY dark. I started the brewing process then stepped in the back to turn lights on and get ready for the day ahead. The scent of coffee immediately filled my office, the one across the hall, and the hallway with its perfume. This was a welcome development since my office generally smells awful. I think something may have died in the drop ceiling a room over. I’ve used a ladder to look up there and haven’t found anything; perhaps the smell is originating somewhere else. After pouring this in my mustache-protecting cup (nothing worse than having your facial hair soak up liquids) I could tell it was considerably darker than a regular roast or even other dark roasts. Not quite “used motor oil” black, but not too far off. Speaking of, I drink my coffee black the way it is intended to be drank. No fancy, organic, free trade, non-GMO, gluten free, crossfitting, vegan friendly, sugar or creamer for me. I should probably note that this coffee is “USDA Organic” certified by QAI US-ORG-050. Whatever that means. I can’t drink my coffee anywhere near the temperature of the Earths core, like some people I know, so I let it sit a minute to get to a drinkable temp. This gave me some time to fully appreciate the smell and, as a bonus, built the anticipation even higher. I was in no way, shape, or form prepared for the kick in the face that I was about to receive. Despite the smell, I expected this coffee to be bitter like most other coffees. Not the case. This was very smooth and not at all acidic tasting/feeling. I immediately felt my pulse quicken and my productivity levels increase. Drinking this on an empty stomach may not have been the “smartest” decision but the one I made and the one I had to live with. I felt alive. With this newfound vigor I was able to complete all of my work for the day before 1100. I will spend the rest of the day waiting for FedEx or whoever to make their delivery. With the extra time I had on my hands I decided to see if my desire to work had increased or if my efficiency level was up as well. I did the only thing I knew to do, take a typing test. I type pretty quickly as it is, generally in the 85 wpm area. With all this energy, I was able to hit 124 wpm (at my fastest) and averaged 97 wpm throughout the typing test. Needless to say, I was pumped. This coffee is great. The only downside is that it is somewhat expensive. At $20 for a 1lb bag the cost may be a deterrent for most. However, a little bit goes a long way and they make K-cups for all you fancy pants people that know how to work a Keurig. Hmmm…this review has ended up being a little longer than anticipated and oddly enough longer than some papers I have written for school.
