These are way better than the vinyl plastic mats that I had before. I'm never buying those again.

I wanted something to protect my hardwood floor, but I didn't want a plastic mat that would eventually eat up the floor anyway, so I shopped online for a long time to find a carpet covered chair mat. Ordered one for about $35, and it was crap. Like paper with fabric over it. Sent that back and bit the bullet and paid almost four times as much. It came today, and I put it down. PERFECT in every way. I'm sure it will last for years.I can roll all the way out to get up comfortably without the chair going off the mat, which was a big thing for me. I had a small mat under the chair before, but every time I rolled out to stand up, at least one wheel left the mat, so when I sat back down and rolled back up to my desk, the mat was always bunching up, and I had to physically lift the chair up to get it back on the mat. SO irritating. I'll never have to do that again.Want a carpet chair mat, but don't want to pay big bucks? Forget it. Just make the investment and you'll never be sorry. Or buy a plastic one and then in five years you can refinish your floor.

It is pricey but worth it.

Having only ever used the plastic mats (with and without the nubs, depending on the floor covering), I was skeptical something woven would work. It’s great! The chair rolls easily and effectively and it’s beautiful to look at. Easy to clean with a vacuum.

I have bought four of these rugs, this being the largest size. They are all built to last and lay flat without moving or curling on their edges. These heavy-duty rugs protect the floor from just about anything. Thank you for a fine product.

I have a thick carpet in my new digs, and the wheels of my desk chair were digging into it. Since this is a rental, I didn't want to lose my security deposit or force the landlord to replace the carpet. I bought three of these mats and put them together in an area between my desks. They look like an area rug, but now my desk chair can roll between my desk and computer table without getting stuck. Also, when I lift the mat, the carpet springs back.

Love that it looks like a carpet, but it is very hard & great for my office chair!

It think and strong and provides good surface for office chair with wheels. Show no sign of wear after 1 month of use
