Sturdy and bright
Full disclosure, I got this rack because it is so nifty and interesting and absolutely not anything I need. I chose it to put up somewhere, probably my garage or office, and I'll probably use it to organize my product information papers and warranty details. I don't even have a job these days! However, I have worked where MSDS information was needed, and I can still review this item for its intended purpose of being a central information point for dealing with potentially dangerous materials.This rack and binder are bright, sturdy and easy to use. The rack is sturdy and well-made, ready to easily hang on a wall. The binder is not only sturdy, but is of a glossy material that would be eady to wipe clean. The binder is large enough to hold a lot of information sheets. The set comes with a chain that can be used to attach the binder to the rack, so it can't walk off across the shop and hide on someone's shelf or cart. The poster that is included doesn't seem very useful, even though it has good information. The poster is a case of tl;dr (too long; didn't read) for most people, while the staff members who need to know (safety crew, supervisors) should already know the information. Even so, it is good information and very thorough. The set included two large rolls of labels for safely identifying contents of containers, though they wouldn't work for many people because they don't allow enough space for most people's handwriting. The people who use these things are likely to be writing with a medium-tip Sharpie, and on these labels it is unlikely they could write clearly. I am fairly sure, though, that the labels are industry standard. In any case, this is a piece of true industrial decor, useful either as it is intended or for those of us who enjoy the industrial look. I imagine that "distressing" the set to create more aesthetic appeal would be quite easy.
