I have been using this for several weeks on an extended camping trip, and it's been great. Where to put the garbage has always been an issue while camping, and it's so nice to have an actual trash can for a change, instead of a garbage bag barely hanging on to the end of a picnic table or tree branch, or even worse, just sitting on the ground. It's holding up really well even after weeks of daily use, and still looks exactly like it did when I took it out of the package the first time. A garbage bag fits in perfectly, and I add a couple of clips to it to help keep it secure. It comes with a stake in case it's windy, but I've found that the weight of the garbage usually keeps it in place without it. I love that this closes with a zipper, so I can quickly zip it up to keep rain water out, or to help protect it from birds and other small animals if we leave the campsite (of course we still put it in the car at night, since determined raccoons and bears could probably tear it open if they wanted to). I love that it's collapsible, since we have enough camping supplies as it is without a bulky garbage can to bring with us. It even comes with a little case to protect it, which isn't very thick, but does the job. Overall, I'm extremely happy with this purchase, and would recommend it to any camper in a heartbeat.

love these trash cans, we bought this for the travel trailer, got tired of hanging a bag on the back of the toy hauler and then having to take it down and put back up every time we opened the back. it is just like a regular trash can it stands up strong and holds its shape, keeps the small critters out of the trash. easy to fold back up and store under trailer for the next trip, this is a must have for campers, makes keeping camp cleaned up a breeze

Nice portable, lightweight, and easily stored. Does not zip shut if you have a trash bag li ing it. Seems to be good quality and weather resistant. Happy with it

I purchased this for my pop up camper. It works great! I love the ability to stake it down to keep it from blowing over and from thieving raccoons. The zippered lid keeps the flies away. The Velcro will keep it collapsed so you can put it in its storage bag easily. Folds down very small, so its easy to store. I always empty it before bedtime for the animals, but what I didn't know, was in broad daylight, even with the lid closed, the squirrels will sneak up right behind the trashcan, where you can't see them, and chew a hole big enough for a basketball to fit through and have there way with the contents. This is my second one because of those crazy squirrels as I was forced to throw away the first one. 4 stars just because its quite thin... and the speed and ease the squirrels destroyed it. We leave the trashcan much closer and in front now, not way in the rear of the campsite where evil critters can have their way with it ;-)

We bought this for a recent camping trip. Normally we just tie a garbage bag to a metal stand but I wanted something with a little more structure (see pic - to the right of the camp stove). This is extremely light weight yet sturdy enough for your typical camping garbage. The 30-gallon black Hefty bags are the perfect size for this and there's enough bag to pull over the sides. I did end up using a binder clip to attach the bag to the container once it started filling with beer cans. :) The zippered cover is a great feature so you can cover the can during the day. We did empty it each night and stored it in the truck since we were in an area with bears. We didn't get any punctures in the garbage bags so the inside of the container didn't get dirty, but if it did you could easily wash it out. There are also handles if you want to carry the bag inside the container to dump it out. There are several similar products out there, but I bought this particular one because it has a loop on the bottom and a stake included. We didn't have any wind but it was nice to have the option to stake it down if we needed to. The stake is really heavy-duty and made from yellow plastic or you could use a tent stake. At the end of the trip, we just collapsed the container, secured it with the attached velcro piece and stored it in the included storage bag. I highly recommend this if you're looking for a portable alternative to a hard-sided garbage can.

We love to RV and this product was something my husband found to put out while camping to collect trash. I was not that impressed, but after more then a year of use I can say I was wrong. This product folds up fairly flat when not in use and uses a simple strap to hold it in place. When not in use it can easily be tucked just about anywhere because of its flatter size. When parked, pull this container out, pull the strap and let it spring to life. We throw a large rock in the bottom, a large trash bag inside and this is our main trash can for our trips. Through many exciting trips and weather and lots of rocks, this container has maintained its integrity and works as well now as the day we bought it. When done, pull the trash, take out the rock, crush the container flat, strap it and stash it. If you use it as a trash can, like we do, be sure you have something heavy to place in the bottom as it will blow away in the wind if not weighted down.

We use this as a laundry basket while camping with out travel trailer. The zipper keeps everything closed up when in the back of the track for the return trip home. It stands up well for usage while in the trailer. However after one season of light use, the top edge is already coming unsewn and starting to separate. Since this thing is based on a metal coil, once the the seam comes apart a little more the whole thing will fail. I would have expected better.

We take this along with us every time we go camping! It folds up for easy storage and stands up well when we put our empty cans and recycling in it. Haven’t used it as garbage bag but definitely great for cans!

For me it works well because of its size/circumference carrying leaves and yard trimmings along the narrow side of my property, between the house and fence.

Does the job, but the zipper on the lid broke the fist time we tried to zip it back up. The rest holds up well. Made from the same material as the blue ikea bags. Put a weight at the bottom under your garbage bag to avoid flyaways on windy days. For the price, it is ok.

Used as a laundry bag to and from camp. Handles make it easy to carry. Can be thrown in the truck box no matter the weather.

Easy to pack and carry, sets up in a second (literally) and is very handy to handle the garbage on a campsite - it keeps the site much cleaner than hanging a bag on a tree or on the RV. Like a previous reviewer said, it is somewhat big for a family and a week-end only setup. It was very useful for parties, though.
