Good value and very absorbent. Bought these for my narrowboat and they do what they say, ideal for the winter months and reducing condensation. Work well in the home too.

Okay, I'm convinced. These really work.I have a trouble spot in the corner of my dining room, which keeps collecting damp. I treated it with anti-mould spray several times, but the black mould kept returning. I treated again, then placed one of these on the floor (behind the corner table) and in no time it was full of nearly 2 inches of water. I repeated with a new one, and the same thing happened. Water in container, not on the wall. Meanwhile the corner has stayed mould-free for months. And that's autumn and winter months, when the problem usually gets worse.I know it's a stop-gap measure, and I need to figure out why the damp keeps collecting there, but in the meantime ...problem solved.

The crystals absorb water but no water is collected in the chamber underneath. I wouldnt buy againUPDATE 10/12/16- The damp collectors did eventually start collecting water in the chamber underneath and so appear to be helping the damp salutation in my car caused by wet dogs after walking. So, I have upgraded to 4 stars.

I've always been sceptical about how good things like this can be, but the windows in my vehicles were regularly covered condensation, so at this price I had nothing to lose.I've put one on the table in my motorhome, and one in the pocket on the passenger door of my car, and honestly, the next morning all the windows were bone dry.I don't understand how the moisture gets attracted to these things, but I don't really care - all that matters is that they work.Only time will tell how long they last (claimed 3-4 months) but if they just get me through to spring I'll be well happy.Just remember to take the film cover off BUT LEAVE the white material in place - it's very easy to take them both off together.

I bought six of these and they are empty and the windows are still wet. So disappointed as I’d read other reviews saying how well they had worked

these are smaller than my previous purchase from another brand and not so good to use the beads have gone a funny colour and are leaking into the base not a repurchase

Easy to use and seem to do the job. Good value.

When they are constructed properly these are fine for the price point. But 4/6 were broken and I only realised when I pulled out the last two that weren't. There's a little shelf that's supposed to hold up the absorbant substance inside, but they'd all fallen down. You can't fix it without having to break the moisture trap completely.
