Great travel adaptor
I travel quite a lot to China for work and always need additional travel plugs, so this one looked ideal. In the past the ones I've used have not included USB ports, so it's a great bonus to have one with them included which will cut back on extra plugs. The travel plug is well made and I think looks nice and stylish. I've tried it with plugs inside and they fit nice and securely. The USB ports aren't super fast, but I have so many lights and lowered powered devices this isn't an issue at all. This will now be coming with me on all my work trips.

Good quality but 10A max NOT 13A as specified on the adaptor
This UK to Australia travel adaptor has a sensible selection of 2x USB-A, 1x USB-C and a standard 3-pin socket which should cover almost any charging/powering scenario you are likely to require on your travels. Although each of the USB ports can provide 2.4A/12W, when using multiple ports simultaneously this has to be shared across all ports in use so I don’t recommend using more than 2 ports at a time or even charging a phone will takes ages. This will happily charge phones/cameras/power banks etc. or power small USB devices but it is not capable of providing enough power for more intensive devices such as modern laptops, so for those you will need to use the 3-pin plug.I have tested out a few different SCIEN adaptors and found one slightly concerning common issue in that they all specify on the adaptor that they support 13A (~3kW) max, which is the maximum rating of a UK plug. They should in fact be taking into consideration the rating of the socket into which they can be plugged, in this case the Australian Type I socket which is only rated up to 10A (~2.3kW) max. This should be made very clear on the adaptor as using a more powerful appliance could at best trip the circuit breaker or at worst burn out the socket/wiring. In reality 2.3kW should be adequate for travelling as most small hairdryers - likely the most powerful appliance you’d travel with - are just below this. This adaptor does claim to also be compatible with Chinese sockets, which may be true, however the pin lengths are slightly different so might not be a perfect fit. Also Chinese sockets are upside down compared to those in Australia, so your UK socket will be upside down, if you specifically need an adaptor for China I’d recommend looking for one with the correct orientation. It is good to see this plug is properly earthed, I performed a continuity test and it passed. The unit itself is light but has a quality feel far superior to some other travel adaptors I have seen. I’ve deducted one star for the incorrect current/power rating.

Great modern nice looking adaptor
When you travel, you want to be able to use your devices from home. We always used to travel with loads of 3 pin plugs, but most devices nowadays are USB. This adaptor totally delivers. You can still plug in your UK 3 pin plug when travelling to Australia, but you can also use this adaptor to charge two USB devices and one USB c device. Awesome. and it works a treat. Now added to my travel drawer for all foreign travel (depending on where I am going of course).

Solid pins and fully earthed
As a regular traveller, I struggle to find earthed adapters to plug my kit into the various sockets in the countries I travel to. The Europe, US and New Zealand are specifically problematic where active earthing is concerned when you purchase the adapters at the airport. These adapters are fully earthed although not fused. This isn’t an issue as your UK plug will most definitely protected by a regular replaceable fuse. The adapter is rated to the full 250v 13A specification for UK appliances, giving a total current capacity of 3250 watts. These do not regulate the voltage so you’ll need to ensure what you plug into them does meet the electrical specifications of the master socket, not just the adapter. If the voltage is reduced, then the wattage is reduced (V x A = W)The adapter is a solid well built construction with very thick metal pins rather than the soft metal found in cheaper adapters. The USB outputs are a shared 2.4A spec across all ports, meaning the more you plug in, the slower your device charging experience is going to be. The USB-C is not a PD output (and doesn’t claim to be), so consider this when travelling with your portable tech.To get the most out of these adapters I travel with a multi-output extension as I find that hotel rooms often give you a single outlet in the most awkward of places which is only handy for the staff to plug in their vacuum cleaners. As these adapters are well rated, they are suitable for this purpose.A solid 4 rating for this product, losing a star only because the USB specs could be better for todays modern tech needs.

Useful travel adapter
This is a UK to Type I plug adapter. It has three USB ports (two USB-A, one USB-C) and a UK plug socket. It has a metal ground pin, and the UK plug socket seems well-made with appropriate safety flaps. It comes with the usual warning about not adapting voltage, although Australia and New Zealand have the same voltage as the UK, so there should be no problem.I tested it using an NZ to UK adapter in the other direction, and it worked perfectly. It's going to be ideal for my next trip.

Useful adaptor for NZ/Australia travel
We visited NZ in 2019, returning home just before Covid hit the UK and since then have always said we must go back to explore further. On that trip we borrowed our daughters plug adaptors, which did the job but were perhaps not the best quality. Getting this adaptor is hopefully the first step in planning a return visit. It's a bit bigger than other adaptors we used, but does have the added advantage of 3 USB ports and it's an all in one package, saving the need to take several adaptors. What we do need to check though is that we have all the compatible leads that will fit the plug, for our mobiles and camera.Construction wise, the adaptor feels pretty solid and the pins are both thick and firmly fixed, much better quality than the ones we borrowed for our previous trip. On VFM, this adaptor does seem a tad dearer than some others but the quality of construction is reassuring so I guess you get what you pay for.
