Tesa 51036 19mm*25m Flag-Resistant PET Cloth Automotive Harnesses Tape: I use this product on a bicycle rather than a car, in place of electrical tape and self-fusing silicon tape. I saw a reference to it in a bicycle maintenance blog. It's a very durable fabric with a stellar adhesive backing that doesn't bleed, creep or come unwrapped. I've used it to finish handlebar wraps, as an underlayment for things attached to the bar that always want to rotate (bell, odometer, GPS unit), to protect the bike's finish from cable rub, and on front rack pannier attachment points (where the bungee hook typically fastens). I have only a month's experience, but it looks like a winner. It's a very impressive improvement to electrical tape for all of the things I've used it for. I'm looking around for some other things to do with it. If I had any automotive harnesses, I'd sure wrap it with this stuff.

Tesa tape is hard to beat, it’s very tough and abrasion resistant. Fantastic for wiring harness loom, and many other uses where a surface needs to be protected from scratches or other damage.

This stuff is awesome…, ever want to reassemble ALL the wire bundles you may have had to take apart to find a short or open circuit…??? This is the tape that does the job like factory work…!!!

Honestly still haven’t used yet since we always use this brand just wanted to have in case. Quality is always on point and adhesive holds perfectly

This seems to be very good tape for wrapping wiring harnesses. In the past I’ve used self-vulcanzing tape as well as expensive “electrical tape” from brands like 3m, but I was never impressed with any of them. All vinyl electrical tape, no matter how high quality, seems to have adhesive that turns to goo if oil gets within 20 feet of it. This stuff seems to be holding up much better than anything i’ve used in the past. It’s also (allegedly) the tape that manufacturers, such as GM, use on factory wiring harnesses.

If you are doing any wire harness repair, this is a great item to have in your kit. This is not electrical tape in the usual sense but perfect for a harness wrap as it sticks very well to itself. A good product!
