This device is for carpet seaming the proper way. You need hot melt carpet tape and along with this iron you will have professional carpet seems that will last. This iron was exactly what I wanted and expected. Watch a couple “How To” videos, just search carpet seaming and you will be good to go.

I had never used heat activated carpet tape before. I bought this inexpensive seaming iron and got the job done! After watching a few Utube videos to learn the basics, I was able to successfully make a 15' long seam in a bedroom carpet.

They do try to resolve issues

Not worth it used one time and doesn't work the next time. Durability is seriously lacking. Customer service is zero and there is no warranty and after 30 days your out if it breaks like mine did .
