So, I bought this gel nail kit on a sale and figured why not give it a try. But WOW- it really is just like a manicure! I've done dishes, showered, cleaned my stove etc and not ONE chip so far. Yes, the color bottles are small, but they're plenty for a few uses and at this price point I really can't complain. Plus, the top & bottom coats are larger bottles. It comes with clippers, buffers, cuticle pusher and toe separators too. The light is easy to use and works well. I'm honestly thrilled- I can't afford a manicure at a salon, so I'm happy to have found a product that delivers those results at home :)

This is going to sound like a fake review because I’m so hyped about this, but this is one of my best Amazon purchases of all time. If you like having your nails done / spend money on manicures at the salon on a regular basis (or even if you just want to start), this will seriously change your life. I have no reason to go to the salon anymore. I just can’t justify the expense now that I have this kit. For the price I had very low expectations, but I’m blown away by the quality and amount of stuff you get with this kit! It really works and it’s so easy!!! It’s SOOOO much faster than painting your nails the old way. As long as you can paint with your non-dominant hand (even if you can’t yet, it just takes practice), you can do a full gel manicure or pedicure in 10-15 minutes. It’s literally just file/buff, base coat, UV light, color, UV light, top coat, UV light - DONE. Or you can really take your time with it and get creative with tips, nail art, etc. The kit comes with really good quality nail files and tools too which alone are worth more than the price of the whole kit. And the colors are beautiful (just as pictured). Truly cannot recommend this enough. Also recommend buying a nail kit bag too (the ones that are made specifically to hold the UV light and tools and have little compartments for the polishes). Love love love!!! Ps: if you have any funky nails that bother you, you can buy clear press-ons on Amazon (fingers or toes!) and *good quality* nail glue, and paint the press on just like the other nails with the gel polish and UV light and it works great. My big toe press on has been going strong for 2 weeks!

This was my first attempt to do my own shellac nails and I'm impressed. They came out looking pretty good for a first timer. The packaging was neat and organized. There are a lot of extra tools and jewels to give your toes or nails done really cute designs. I haven't tried it out on mine yet. I did a base coat plus 2 color coats, one sparkle coat, and one top coat. I think I did about 120 sec in the uv light in between each coat. All in all, it took me about 1 hour and 15 min from prepping to taking photos, which isn't bad because I was doing one foot at a time to make sure I didn't mess up the other one. I do have an electric drill that I use to buff my nails and cuticles. I recommended getting one of you don't because I think it really speeds up the process. It also helped buff off the the extra paint around the cuticles and anywhere else I made a mess. Mine was about $30 here on Amazon. It's in the pics if you wanna know which kind I bought. It's called a Dannary nail drill. I tried to wipe off any errors as I went, and while it's wet, it's really easy to get off. After I cured the last top coat, I used the sharp metal drill bit to clean up anything that I didn't like and it worked really well. I applied the cuticle oil provided in the box and it was all done! I am curious to know how long they will last. I will do an update, but so far, it's been 2 days and no chipping or peeling. Oh! And the colors are exactly what is shown. They are very beautiful and vibrant. I have seen in other reviews that the UV light doesn't work all the way, but mine works just fine. I would highly recommend this product because it saved me time of going to the salon, spending the $60-$90 I usually spend every time I go, and I can do it at home when I have free time. Doing my own toes once paid for the entire product and then some!

Love this product but wish there had been pastels instead of the heavy colour as so far the blue sparkle is the only one I've used. Very easy but need to know what remover and if Beetles supply it.
