This stufF is AWSOME! If you are going to skim coat old plaster or drywall thid product will strengthen the integrity of the skim coat as well as stabilize cracks. Wish I would have known about this sooner. Easy to apply but be sure to use the "green cap" compound to apply it. I understand it has more glue in it. Make sure to set every square inch into compound (with drywall knite or trowel) to prevent air pockets. I'm not a professional drywaller or plasterer. First time to use it and my wife and I did a stairwell and bedroom with it. Walls worked to class IV with ease. Highly recommend!

Absolutely amazing! Worked great, neighbors thought I had put up new drywall. Used this after repairing the plaster lath. Very itchy though. I will be buying a hasmat outfit to do the final sanding. Super easy to use and the results looks professional.

Forget skim coating, this product is the new way to fix damaged walls. This mesh completely streamlines the skim coating process and also strengthens the wall surface to prevent future cracks. Embedding the mesh is effortless and the flat surface it creates helps guide the trowel making it much easier to achieve a smooth surface in one pass. It's important to use a standard weight joint compound with this, thinned just enough that you can roll it with a thick nap roller. Then you can just roll up the compound, lay in the mesh, and use a trowel or taping knife to squeegee off the excess compound. You know you got it right if the compound comes up through the mesh and sits on top to embed the fibers. For some applications a second coat isn't necessary, but If you want it extra smooth, use a slightly thicker compound and do a second coat. Never overlap the mesh, despite the directions telling you to do so, because it makes a ridge that's hard to cover. Minimal sanding is normally necessary unless the wall you're covering is already really flat. This stuff is amazing! It makes walls look brand new again, in away that skim coating alone can't approach, in half the time!

A previous homeowner used construction adhesive and screws to attach floating shelves to the walls, and installed peel and stick wallpaper over bare drywall. When I removed everything, there were a lot of spots with damaged paper on the sheetrock. I wanted to gut everything and reinstall sheetrock, but this saved the day! It provided a very even wall finish after installation, ready for a skim coat of mud. I'd give this product 10 stars if I could!

I bought this thinking it was a larger sheet of the classic fiberglass mesh tape used to tape cement board seams. I was wrong. This is a fabric, so mortar is not going to flow through its holes. I didn’t use it for drywall mud so can’t speak to that.

Amazing stuff. I used it to cover damage after taking down a kitchen backsplash, and it's best dry wall job I've ever done.

This worked well to cover spider cracks and water damaged walls in my 125 year old house. Make sure you wear good cover clothing. The fiberglass does shed fibers that are itchy for a few days.

Very effective for a cracked, 100+ year old plaster ceiling repair I’ve been working on. Thin out your mud a bit on the first coat before applying the fibafuse - this allows it to pass through the fiberglass for better embedding. And be sure to wear gloves!

Perfect for mudding over plaster. I’ve used the fibafuse tape for years instead of regular paper tape. The larger roll is great, thinner and stronger than paper tape and great for merging plaster or gypsum. Delivered quickly

Loved this product! Used it for drywall patches, repairs, mixed with cement to assure sturdiness. Would love to buy this size again but prices jumped up by $100+!

Work as advertised

This product may work for its intended purpose. However, I watched a video which led me to believe it was sticky on one side, it isnt, and while handling this product you get tiny pieces of fibreglass in your hands.
