These rocks work amazing for my fish tank! They are very strong rocks, and the bag has a bit of dirt and dust, which is fine for plants but make sure you rinse thoroughly for fish. The plants have been growing fantastic! Overall, this bag of rocks is AMAZING and the value cannot be understated for the price!

I used this in a mix to make my own pon! This works great for succulents and cactus. The color looks nice on top of the soil, and it helps keep everything clean and well-drained. The pieces are a good size and don’t turn muddy when watered. Exactly what I was looking for.

Great for coi pond

I received bag of multi color lava rock as described, 1/4 inch or so. There is a nice mix of colors. Yes, they come rather dusty in a bag, and yes you have to wash/rinse the dust off. Once you do that the colors pop. I'm actually going to use them outside in a planter box with a steel cactus. I have used lava rock in landscaping before, so I expect them to last outside. While they seem a little pricey, a 2.2 lb. bag of multi-color at a major home improvement store is almost 4 times as expensive, so I guess this is a good price.

I have gotten into lithops and succulents lately and have never kept them alive because I have always put them in potting soil and over watered. I read somewhere that they like very good drainage and everyone suggested this type of medium to add to a little soil -- it works great...they are all flourishing for the first time ever. Great quailty, great size and great value for your money. I will definitely purchase again!
