An excellent portable monitor -- especially for the price!
I liked this monitor so much that I got two of them. For some reason the seller has two different listing for the same product, but all the specs are the same, and on opening the box, the model numbers are identical. Here's a cut-and-paste of my other review of the same product:This monitor is packed with features, and I'm surprised at the low price ($119). I've been looking at these types of portable monitors to supplement my laptop when on the go, but I've always balked at the price or the features. This worked for me right out of the box: plug-and-play (but if you expect to use only the USB-C cable to connect to it, you must make sure your laptop supports that - mine did!).I'm very happy with the features, especially the following:- single USB-C cable from my Macbook Pro provides both, power + video signal- resolution is great (1920 x 1080)- the color, brightness, and contrast are great- the buttons on the side of the monitor, together with the OSD (on-screen display) controls are very intuitive and simple to use- the built-in speaker is surprisingly ok (loud enough, considering the size of the display)- the built-in stand is very functional- very light, and comes with a nice cover/sheath to protect it while traveling- great that it has an HDMI input as well as the USB-CThings I have not yet checked:- power consumption

Extremely Light and Compact Monitor with Built in Speakers
This 15.6 inch Coolhood Monitor is small and extremely lightweight. When I opened this up and started handling it, I was pleasantly surprised by the thin bezel and razor thin screen. It comes with a neoprene carrying case, power cord and an HDMI cable. On the back of the monitor there is a kickstand and at the bottom there are rubber pads that prevent it from slipping across your desktop. Since I started using it, I have not really used the kickstand much and just find myself leaning it up against things. The rubber grips on the bottom and the lightweight of the device allow you to set it anyplace and not worry much about it falling.Connectivity: This monitor features HDMI and USB type C inputs. While the instructions call for Thunderbolt 3 specifically, I was able to get an image with just USB 3.1 hooked up and a separate power source. The USB C ports let you run video, sound, and power to the monitor all on one cable. For this to work properly, you need to be sure that the USB C has enough power behind it to drive the monitor. The HDMI works fine and there is a 2nd input for USB C. In total, you could connect 3 devices to this screen without any trouble, though one of the USB C connected devices would need to deliver the power. The menu allows you to select your input device or set it for auto detect based on signal to the device. There is a headphone out and single USB Jack as well. It is also important to note that this device lacks touch screen capabilities. It does 1080p and lower resolutions such as 1024 x 768.I have experienced no issues running this monitor for several days as a secondary screen from my laptop. The screen size is the exact same size as many laptops at 15.6 inches. One very pleasant surprise was the audio. I would have assumed no audio or poor audio at best but when the sound turned on it was quite tolerable. The audio was not quite as good as my laptop, but it was good enough that I didn't feel the need to switch back to the laptop for audio. In terms of power management, it has a power saving mode that it will go into if there is no signal going to the monitor on the USB lines. I found that there were some issues though for HDMI when there was no signal going to it, yet it did not power down into power saving mode. This could have been due to the source HDMI computer so I would need to test this on some other devices to see if they have the same result. Either way, it lacks any smart features to detect a blank screen being fed to it to power down. It also seemed impossible to power down the monitor manually without unplugging. This issue to me seems very puzzling since there is a pushbutton on the side that you would interpret as a power button. This is perhaps the biggest disappointment though because pulling the plug seems incredibly primitive. In summary, this little monitor rates good. The image is crisp and bright with plenty of adjustments. The sound is decent, and the device itself is extremely portable. The biggest drawbacks are that there seems to be no true power switch as it relies entirely on what is plugged into it to work. Other than a few minor drawbacks, it gets the job done and creates a good image.

Awesome Device to Ensure Uninterrputed Work and Play When On-The-Go!
This portable monitor is JUST what I was looking for. I got used to a dual-monitor setup at home, so when I need to take my laptop on the road, I feel less productive with just the one laptop screen. By way of a simple type-c to type-c USB connection (other cables also included for straight power to the monitor, or type-a to type-c as well), I get TWO monitors on the road, and my productivity is back up to par!Monitor is bright and beautiful, and comes with everything you need to get going. Monitor is powered right through the USB connection, or you can power it with a separate adapter, if you decide to run an HDMI connection to it (which wouldn't carry power), so you can use it for movies, gaming, etc.! It's full HD, at 1080p, so the picture won't disappoint. If you're NEEDING 4k, then you won't get it from this monitor, but trust me, the resolution is more than sufficient for most needs. This monitor has a handy flip-out stand in the rear, so there is no need for separate gear to keep it standing upright. Great design! An absolutely great item to have for anyone who needs a spare monitor while on the go!

Just the cutest thing
This is the first portable monitor I've ever had, and I'm very impressed. I had this unboxed and hooked up to my Mac Mini via the included HDMI cable in a minute or so (USB-C is apparently another connection option), attached the power cable without consulting the instructions, and boom, the monitor was powered on and connected.I find the colors bright and sharp, and the lightness of the display (as well as the provided storage cover) make this indeed portable. I will likely mainly use this with my mini PC, do note that this is a small thin device and not capable, to my knowledge, of use with a Vesa mount as one might want with a smaller computer.Review of COOLHOOD 15.6" Portable Monitor,FHD IPS 1080P Laptop Monitor USB C HDMI Gaming Ultra-Slim Screen w/Invisible Stand & Speaker,Plug&Play,External Monitor for Laptop PC Mac Xbox PS5/PS4 Switch
